A completely different Specialisation Problem

Hey Guys,

Lets start from the top.

Launch Day, I purchased Halo 4: Limited Edition. On going home, the codes were entered and all the Specialisations appeared, as did al the rest of the DLC that came with the pre-order. Everything came out all fine, and was working perfectly.

Then the Halo 4 Update rolled out, and there was a slight issue with the specialisations disappearing, but the rest of the Infinity Actual Kit extras (the Prime skins) remained visible. However, the problem seemed to go away from restarting. This was a glitch that was in Reach with the DLC and came back with a simple restart or log out of live.

However, when the Specialisation: Priority Alpha email was recieved, I downloaded the code without knowledge of what it was, as I already had the same perks from purchasing the L.E. Version of the game. After the download was complete, I entered the game and there was zero change.

Now, about 20 days ago, the specialisations just disappeared. After watching other peoples threads appear about theirs not being seen, disappearing and the like, I (and my other half and our housemate, all of who are having the exact same problem) started to try the solutions posed on other threads… These include the following;

Restarting
Deleting the Update and reloading it
Redownloading the Infinity Actual Kit
Redownloading the Specialisation Priority Alpha
Redownloading my profile to my xbox
Clearing the Cache
Swearing and cursing when no matter how many times the above have been tried, in numerous orders or by themselves, nothing works.

I would love an answer that would be able to solve this issue, as my final idea that they would be fixed when the Map pack issue was resolved, or at least when I hit SR 50, which i did a few hours ago and have stopped playing since it isnt resolved, nor will i continue until the issue is fixed.

So please, I would appreciate any kind of progressive help that will fix this issue.

One final note. I have a non xbox live account that i used of for offline gaming for guests, and when i logged out of that, and into halo 4, the specialisations re-appeared (but of course as an SR1 were locked). After returning to my profile, these disappeared again, showing only the first 2 specialisations unlocked, and none others.

I know that there are plenty of bugs that are priority that you are trying to fix currently, but from the 3 of us here that are stuck without use of the extras that we payed for in the LE release, Help us 343i you’re our only hope…

Dear Fellow Troubled Gamer,

You are not alone! I too have this problem. Did everything you did too, but with no avail. Currently at SR-100, still have 3 more to do and I can’t wait to finish them off so I can concentrate on my Commendations.

Let’s hope the solution will present itself soon enough. At the meantime since I can’t enlist in a new specialisation because my darn specs are missing, I decided to spam me some Crimson DLC. At least I could do some achievements while waiting for a solution.

Can you try deleting the Specialization Priority Alpha code from your hard drive completely?

how do I do that? the Priority Alpha thingy isn’t found under the halo 4 folder in the hard drive.

hey, i have a solution! Plug in a USB drive before you start halo 4, then start the game. then choose your hard drive. then go to the spec menu. then see if they’re there. if it’s still missing, then unplug the drive. then you will be prompted to select your storage drive again, so select the hard drive. then TA-DA! it worked for me, when all other solutions didn’t. a member of the forums called ShaunThe Sheep or smth told me this and i’m grateful of him, so credits go to him!
