I tried to find a way to contact 343i privately but failed
So I have to post this here and hope someone will notice this post
First, I am a HALO fan
I own every HALO games and a limited Reach console
HALO is truly my favorite video game, and I love HALO 4 a lot
But there’s just something I cannot stop complain about 343i
and it’s unbearable annoying
It’s the translation of the Chinese version HALO Waypoint
It just SUCKs.
Sincerely, I say WTF EVERYTIME I use Waypoint
because it’s one of the most stupid translation I’ve ever seen.
How stupid?
I don’t know who translate this
but they simply translate everything by transliteration
Can you understand?
Translate English into Chinese by transliteration?
“Mayday” becomes “A day in May (in Chinese, 五月天)”
“Warthog” becomes “Walter (in Chinese, 沃爾特)”
even “HALO” becomes some Chinese word that my XBOX360 cannot even -Yoinking!- displays !!! And there are far more mistake !!!
Sincerely, WTF?
When I tried to watch Forward unto Dawn in Chinese subtitle,
I could point out 10 mistakes (also grammatical one) in 10 minutes
and I finally give up, changing to English subtitle.
I don’t know who make these stupid translation
and how much salary is paid for this bunch of -Yoink-,
But it’s obvious thiese guys didn’t pay attention to ther work
and I can do this for free in an hour and have way better quality
HALO 4 is a great game
but as the saying goes, the devil is in the details
these stupid mistake really get on my nerves
and make feel unrespectable.
This is a complaint from Taiwan
and I hope someone can give me a positive respond.
