The DMR (from what I’ve observed) has virtually no bloom and is as effective short-mid range as it is effective long range. It outguns the BR in the right hands any day in non long range battles, so here’s what I suggest:
Increase reticle bloom on the DMR while un scoped, but leave reticle bloom how it is now while scoped. This would support it’s nitch as a long-ranged weapon and help better balance it with a 5sk BR. To take it even further, maybe reduce bloom even more when crouched?
Just a suggestion, don’t flame me too hard if it’s a bad one.
not a bad idea, the BR being a 4sk is also something they should do.
I thought this way when reach first came out! Love it

It’s a good idea, but people tend to like as little bloom on all guns as possible. It would be simpler to make BR a 4sk. I however i think everything looks fine as is.
The DMR’s skills in mid range reflects the skills of the user just as a person getting a long range kill with the BR shows how well they’re able to use it.
Increasing bloom however doesn’t decrease the weapon but create more inconcistancy which is horrible. That results in random headshots for people who spam the trigger which no one wants.

I see your point, maybe my idea wasn’t so clever after all.

Very well driven point sir.
iThought of this EVER SINCE Bungie came up with the DMR - “Being a suppressor to the BR” -_-

OMG stop making these posts! If I wasn’t about to be banned because of people like you already I would eerrrrrrr… Seriously though the DMR is fine so is THE BR STOL COMPLAINING just because you lil BR isn’t number 1 best starter gun and the game is actually fair doesn’t mean you have to make a million posts saying so.

OP can discuss whatever they want here, so long as it’s within the forum rules and relevant to Halo 4. If you don’t like it, then don’t click the thread.
Yeah …na.
Buff the br damage to 4sk. lower aim assist/ hitbox size.
Halo has had precision weapons nerfed enough already.

You might want to tell them that before they nerf the rail gun…to late…

In what way is it not bad to further inceease the randomness?
It should be done away with completely. They even said they weren’t going to have the kind of bloom there was in reach, but they still did bring it back.
They’re making the same mistake Bungie did between H2 and 3 when they brought the BR spread back despite the patch of H2 where it was removed.

Let’s just make the BR a 4sk. Don’t you dare touch my DMR!
In Reach the DMR is the best weapon, hands down, and I hate it. It is the best at close, mid, and long range. In a head on fight with an AR vs a DMR the DMR wins in almost every situation. I cannot use the DMR for crap and I was fine with the BR but with both in Halo 4 I want to see the DMR suffer some. It should not be so ridiculously powerful against shields, health, or vehicles. Especially not vehicles. The BR never ruined the AR at close range for me but the DMR has made me hate the AR for being so useless at any range. It takes like a whole clip to just kill someone IF I hit pretty consistently yet 5 DMR bullets and I’m down.

Are you kidding me! The BR wrecks me all the time (in Halo 3) at CQB when I use the AR and don’t say that I don’t use it properly because even a newbie at halo can get a kill with it. Simply by the fact that all three bullets (one burst) can make an easy 4sk.
