Maybe for the H2A we can have multiplayer bots ?
Don’t know if there will be a H2A. I would say no to multiplayer bots. Makes the game too easy to rank up on.
Confirmed not happening
Not going to happen, stop asking.
> Confirmed not happening
Not True. They said they don’t have the time. Not that they are not doing it.

No Halo 2-aversary!?

Lets put this in perspective. They didnt have time, because they were making halo 4 the best game possible. Now what makes you think they will magically have time when halo 5 is being made ? or 6? you think they will just one day divert resources away from 5 or 6 to make a H2A? lol if you want to keep dreaming
AI is a very difficult thing to create for multiplayer games. They require tons of coding based on pretty much every possible scenario that they player could be in, with options on what they can do and what they should do.
The problem with trying to create an AI for a game like slayer or CTF is that there are too many variables to account for to create an AI that’s worthy of even being placed in the game. It’s not like in campaign where encounters can happen dynamically but based around specific parameters that are much more defined. In multiplayer, there is just too much.
And about H2A, at this moment, it isn’t happening. At least if what Frankie said to Microsoft Expertzone is to be believed.
So there are no bots in mp becuase of time shortage ?
I hope not, they are either op cause they can see through walls, have perfect aim and have extra life, or suck because they are really dumb. Either way they are imbalanced, especially in a game like halo which has a lot more gameplay elements to it than most games.
> So there are no bots in mp becuase of time shortage ?
Basically. For gears its easy lol there are only so many things that can happen in gears. Shoot sprint sit in the hill pick up weapons. Gears game play is so limited. In halo there are HUGE levels and many different things that contribute to the gameplay. Making bots for Halo would take up an extremely large portion of the resources and honestlyl I dont think it will ever happen.
Halo just has too many variables to code every single one xD its POSSIBLE to do if they did it like other games but the bots would be incredibly stupid so its not even worth it.
I would like some limited AI for stuff like Forge.
However, they will NOT remake Halo 2. They remade Halo 1 because it is a classic game with graphics that could reasonably be called “outdated”, so a graphical update made sense.
Halo 2, however good, isn’t “classic” enough to be remade. I can guarantee it.
What if there were in certain game types like slayer team slayer capture the flag and odd ball (just those)
and they could not use AAs just like H2.
If the ai can play on campaign maps that can be used as mp maps they can play on mp maps.
Could they give they a script similar to: walk around map and pick up weapons they come across and search for enemy ? (slayer code)
and for odd ball abd capture the flag it’s just go to mark pick up flag or ball and return to the place marked on map or if play has ball follow them back to base and help protect them.

The thing you’re missing is, Microsoft bought the rights to Halo, and built 343i in order to get a new Halo game every year. Obviously this won’t be a true sequel every year like from 4 to 5 but that means we can see one offs like ODST and Halo Wars.
With that in mind, the next Xbox is pretty much set to be announced at E3 next year and launch in the Fall, with the inevitable addition of a Halo game. So what is a better way to kick off a new version of Xbox Live that will launch with the new system then to bring the game that made Xbox Live the premier online console service years ago with it? Halo 2 (insert word here) will/should launch alongside the next Xbox to bring in huge amount of nostalgia and pave the way for Halo 5 in 2014 with a new engine and super refined Xbox Live features.
The join in progress ability is kind of a compensation for no AI. I hope we get more info on it soon.

Microsoft always had the rights to Halo.
If 343i does remake H2, i’d rather see a skull where you could fight enemies that didnt make the original H2 ,like the Flood juggernaut.
Too difficult/expensive to implement with current technology.
Stop asking, it’s not going to happen.
- Why even bother talking about H2A? If you want to play H2 get your friends and LAN
- Halo doesn’t need bots, if you don’t play Halo for MP you’ve wasted your money, seeing as how it’s 75% MP
- No bots has been confirmed for H4 since before Halo 3 came out

Well, yea. From the moment they bought out Bungie and brought them in for Halo CE on the Xbox they did. But the point was more of, Microsoft owns both Halo and 343i so expect a game every year because it’s a cash cow.
