A Champion Playlist...

So here’s the premise. Once you reach the highest skill level available in game (whether or not it is invisible makes no difference), a new playlist will become available to you. In this playlist, you will once again start at the lowest level and can work your way back up to the highest. The difference is that you will be playing against the cream of the crop, so the XP gain will be greater and certain rewards will be given for reaching higher levels (skins, achievs, etc.). Additionally, you will be given a special piece of armor every 10 levels (assuming a 1-50 lvl system) to prove that you actually are THAT good.

I think that this would be a nice way to spice up Halo a bit while providing an incentive to get your skill level up. It would be fun for competitive players since they would be playing against other people who want to win and stroke their egos by unlocking cool new stuff to show how 1337 they are. Casual players would also benefit since the hardcore no-lifes would probably stay in this playlist, leaving the casuals to jump off a cliff with the flag to their hearts content.

So like prestiging in COD

No, you would only be able to do this once, and you would still have all of your weapons and skins. This would just be a bonus. Furthermore, you wouldnt be grinding for weeks to get XP, this playlist would be solely skill based. You would gain extra XP (like 2/game instead of 1/game), but it would really be about pushing yourself to get that 50 in a harder playlist.

Yeah except if you prestiged In this It actually shows your good.

I’m …“with it”

It most likely wouldn’t work. The population would be too low for that playlist if they were to create a system that discouraged boosting. They’ll stick to a playlist that is more likely to get them games, instead of standing around and waiting for them to show up.

On the other hand, if the rewards are sufficiently awesome, the population might remain stable enough. Or try to lower the entry requirement a little, let’s say at 45 on this scale. This would surely get that playlist a healthy population, wouldn’t it?
