A Brute in Halo 5?

I have by now watched the Halo 5: Launch Gameplay Trailer numerous times. Something I have consistently noticed is that at 1:45, I see something that looks suspiciously like a Jiralhanae, physically slamming an Elite into the ground. Now I could be wrong- the image appears for under a second. It may be another species, or some Promethean variant I have yet to see, but I thought I’d ask you guys for some insight.

If you’re having trouble finding it, pause at 1:44 on the video, and quickly press play then pause. The scene looks like the interior of a Sangheilos building, and the slide is inbetween the Chief ground-pound and the Hunter attack.

It’s the Arbiter. You can tell by the spikes along his back and the shape of the legs.

It appears to be another elite wielding an energy sword to me. Must be when the Arbiter’s troops are fighting with Jul M’dama’s

Oh, that’s a shame (that there’s no Brute, not that its the Arbiter). I thought it may have been one of the labourers that work on Sangheilos. Thank you for pointing that out, anyway.

Sangheili and Jiralhanae don’t like each other. Brutes wouldn’t work as slave labours for Elites, nor would Elites work with the Brutes.

Unless I have missed SOMETHING in Kilo-Five that says otherwise, I doubt Brutes would work with the Sangheili. The majority anyways.

Outside of Fireteams, is there any allies to be expected fighting alongside you on the battlefield, or are they only there for cinematic purposes?

There were some in Thursday War, I believe, but they may have all been killed after some of them set off an explosion. Thel was known for witholding prejudice against them on a few occasions (trying to reason with Tartarus was the one I remember distinctly, in Halo 2).

Probably. I know the answer, but its a spoiler. I’m just gonna say probably.

Do you know what prejudice means? With holding an opinion on the Brutes? Doubtful Thel did that, since he was betrayed by Tartarus halfway through the game, therefore he would judge the Brutes accordingly.

Also, Karen Traviss did little to no research with her books. I feel like 343 is retconning some of her ‘statements’

I believe somewhere in Jul’s inner monologue in glasslands, he mentioned that some brutes continued to work as labourers because they feared the Sanghelli more than they feared their pack.
