I thought a lot over the bright parts of Halo; I think the parts where you realy ‘feel free’ should be:

Boat combat on a tropical island beach. We need boats ffs.

A air vs gound mission, where you can fly very high, but for tactical reasons you should only fly a bit over the trees and fight vs ground units/ vehicles. It is not a must-have that you use air vehicle here (that is important).
I think on this cuz i just played halo anniversary where you can fly the banshee; the most epic feeling is if you fly just a bit over the trees and then you pull up to dodge them.
And i think, there was never a real air VS ground part in halo. Well, exept the twin-scarab battle in halo 3, but that was more a boss part.
What you think?
I want a Battlefield 3-style air unit in Halo 4. Nothing but nothing from Halo can compare to swooping low over the ground in a helicopter.
This all bright level thing brings me to an other idea. If we have (finally) wild animals in the game, we should use a flare-gun or something like that to lure them to enemys. This idea isn’t new; it was in the game Turok (with Josh Holmes), too. And it was one of the best things in game.
Also; I thing: if we talk over level(parts) without vehicles, this animal lure thing will be an other good idea to feel free on a campaign map.
btw:
yep, the air vs ground part should be in a hovering air vehicle (imo). Dunno if it should be a real helicopter or an alien-equivalent… I personaly dont care.
Iam also excited on the dark parts… but I don’t have so many ideas about this parts. Iam a bright guy, exept some guns that would fit gread in a high level - horror movie. 
I already posted my best weapon ideas some time ago… dunno where the post is now :p.
