I’m sure we’ll get a bonus for playing the Beta in the final game, like how Halo: Reach Beta Testers got an Assault Rifle nameplate in Halo: Reach. However, what if for a bonus, we got a Pegasus and Orion map download for Halo: Master Chief Collection? Like, if the maps were rebuilt on the Forge sandbox worlds or something. Come on 343 please

Yeah, our bonus should be we get to keep all the armor and visors we unlocked in the Beta and have them carry over to the full version.
I’ve heard that we get to keep all of our SR rank and armor, and we already got to play Halo 5 nine months early. Is that not good enough?

Are you sure rank will transfer over? I’d assume they’ll reset ranks with the retail launch.
They’ve explicitly said that ranks will be reset. To do otherwise wouldn’t make any sense.
i thought i saw one of the videos saying we would get to keep the stuff we unlocked. Not that it matters. i would still play to unlock it again anyways. but ehh why not. more “free” stuff is always a good thing. if not well can’t wait to play the game regardless

Exactly. Ranks will be reset for sure. It has been that way with every single beta.
There is technically nothing transferring over. Ranks will be reset, and all of the MCC armor is linked to Achievements, so even if you don’t play the beta you can get the Mark VI, Helioskrill, and Nightfall stuff.

Not according to Josh Holmes. He says that the “only carryovers will be the special unlocks for MCC and Nightfall” and that everything else, including rank, will be reset for launch.
I’d rather there not be any exclusive content. Think about how annoying it will be for those that didn’t play the beta or couldn’t at the time since there the ones that miss out.

I’m almost positive someone said are rank and armour will stay and not be reset

so you’re saying that we shouldn’t get rewarded because other people didn’t play it…
I sure don’t want my stats to carry over. I was over SR40 but my rank and overall stats could’ve been much better if it weren’t for my friends being used to cod. Lol
I don’t mind if they reset the competitive rankings, but I don’t see the point in resetting the Spartan Ranks. I only had enough time to get to SR19 because of work, but I know some people were in high 30s+. Resetting the competitive ranks puts everyone on an even start and honestly shouldn’t be to difficult to build back up or even improve. But if Spartan Rank is only for cosmetic purposes, then why not let us keep them?
