Im not trolling or anything…but don’t you think its a little too early to be guessing details about Halo 4? Its over a year away and people are already arguing about playlists, how many maps, armor, and all that stuff.
I understand what you mean, but they made this forum specifically for speculation reasons.
As long as this forum is here its never too early
we need to put ideas out there for 343i to eat up and grow into a big boy.
I believe that this form was made to speculate and, in some cases, guide 343 into making halo4 a fans favorite.
Halo games take 3 years to develop.
The later into the development cycle, the more difficult it is to make changes.
Halo 4 releases in approximately a year.
That’s two thirds of the time gone. I’d say some of our suggestions may be too late. Screw too early, by the time we have concrete info, it means the game is concrete and we aren’t going to change anything.
It’s not like we can start asking them for things within a month before release. You have to ask for things like maps and stuff now because you can’t whip a map up like it’s nothing. The last few months before release are usually just fine tuning and getting rid of all the bugs. So is it approproate to ask for things right now? Yes, and it’s been ok to suggest things even before the game was announced. Community input and feedback is a very strong thing considering that we are the ones trying to enjoy the game.
Although it is late in the process, they have plenty of time to make changes in the code. If the game goes gold 3 months before release (September) then they have plenty of time to add and tweak, they will only be in the early stages of making the graphics, they probably have a lot of placeholders for some weapons while the models are created. I reckon talking is the best way to let 343i know what the fans want. Bungie didn’t listen, but at least 343 is.

This. And not to mention there may be a Halo 4 trailer during the VGA on Spike, which is less than a month away.

Which like the last trailer will most probably be pre-rendered
