A bit of beef with Halo 5

I do not browse this particular part of the forums, so I am unaware if this is a thread about something that is already mentioned, I didn’t see anything about it while I was scrolling. (Please do not scream at me if I have gotten this wrong, or this has been said before.)
Furthermore I’d like to emphasize the fact that I feel it is too early to complain about something so unfinished and still improving, but I thought I’d exercise my concern anyway.
I was watching some Halo 5 Beta gameplay, and one thing that I feel is certain to make it into the final cut, unless something is said, is ‘Weapon Markers’ or rather, when there is a power weapon available there seems to be something on-screen showing you where it is, I do not like this. (I think this was in Halo 4 too?)
As a Halo player of many years, I’ve always seen one of the best things in Halo multiplayer as the skill gap between veterans who knew where the spawns of weapons were, and new players still adjusting to everything, I do realise one of the reasons they would implement this, for a fair chance and all, but as far as I am concerned, apart of the Halo multiplayer experience was knowing this for yourself, not being shown on-screen. I feel this breaks that gap, which I felt was a rather large one.
Playing TMCC emphasizes how losing this would be so noticeable, as lots of Halo 3/4/Reach arrivals discover the old maps and seems like newbies again for the second time, as well as get used to the old system and how H2C and HCE worked in terms of multiplayer, as they were rather different.

In addition, I would like to say that the idea of call outs (“I’ve got the launcher” or something or other for example) I have no problem with, it can hint at the locations but you still have to do the main body of the work.

My overall opinion of the game is really high though, it looks great. Daring, but great. I hope 343 deliver, as all the risks they’re taking will pay off in one way or another, eventually.

So its about them calling out when/where the power weapons spawn.
I find it annoying as well but it does make fighting over them more important. Just going to hate the rush to them.
Skill is ultimately what will decide who gets them though so there is still that.

I do agree to an extent. I would prefer for those Weapon Markers to not be in the game. But at the same time, It is a rather interesting way to appease newer fans to the games while keeping older fans interested.

Perhaps 343 should keep the Weapons Markers in more Social geared playlists, While the more Competitive playlists would have them removed. I feel like that would please both sides.

I don’t care about weapon markers, as long as they only pop up when you’re close. I don’t want to see where the sniper rifle is when I’m on the other side of the map.

Yes. I agree totally with this.
It makes sense. I hope 343 do this.
