Anyone else remember the feeling of pure joy when you first got your 360 and booted it up to find the old “Blades” dashboard? I loved that. I also loved booting into Halo 3 for the first time on my Dad’s account (wasn’t allowed my own at the time) and discovering the tools included like forge and theater. Ahhh the nostalgia of playing fat kid infected. Leave your own post about your favorite 360 moments down below. I’d love to hear them!
Does “falling from the chair while playing Halo3 Cortana because of an voice line that wasnt triggered in the first time and now came totally unexcepted” count?

Lmao yes
Other than the countless hours of Halo 3 and oblivion, I don’t have any specific nostalgic memories of the 360 that come to mind.
I do miss the time I spent on the original Xbox though. The opening animation and the dashboard layout made it feel so space age at the time. Then of course there was the first time I played Halo 2 online
I noticed a couple things when I booted up my 360 last month after not using it for a few years. The first thing I noticed was that it had notifications for comments on my Xbox One vids which I didn’t even notice while watching those vids on my dvr. I kind of wish the One mentioned them as well. The second thing is my Xbox Live member years are different on the 360 compared to the One. It said I had two more years on the 360 which I think is more accurate.
I bough some games for 360 before i bought the console,i had maybe 6-7 games for couple of months just stored on a shelf without a way of playing themLOL!Then in August of 2008 when i had 2 weeks vacation i finally bought xbox 360.The first game i put in was Kameo and the graphics just blew me away,i couldn’t believe how beautiful it was.In those 2 weeks i had most fun playing a new console ever,i had great memories playing SNES with Super Mario World and F-zero,also with PS2 FFX and DMC but those games i picked for 360 toped that.So in 2 weeks i played through one after another and in this order:Kameo,Gears of War,Condemned,Bioshock and was half done with Blue Dragon, then i had to go to work:(But awesome memories.

Condemned and Bioshock were some of the best games of the previous gen. I had lots of fun with both of those!
Guess I will go with the time I was trying to get the ghost patrol achievement when it was first released. I think everyone on both teams where gunning for the ghost so it was tougher when the achievement was new. Finally get on the ghost and the first person I see had active camo and didn’t see him until he hijacked me. A little frustrated but then had the idea to drive off the side of the map killing him and me. All I remember after that was saying if I don’t get the achievement neither will he.
Lol. the Xbox One was my first Xbox console.
But I remember playing some of the multiplayer for Halo (I think it was Reach) with my sister and her ex-boyfriend. Also, I kind of remember playing with one of my cousins once. I usually just drove the warthog, or stayed far enough behind so that when he died he could spawn again easily.
I remember first getting my 360 with a copy of Gears 1 and Unreal Tournament 3. Both incredible games. Then one of my friends gave me GTA 4 and Halo 3, I was obsessed with GTA but my brother always wanted to play Halo. I’d been playing Halo for years beforehand but never owned an original Xbox. We put hundreds of hours into Halo 3, I’ve been playing Halo 3 since then and the game is almost muscle memory now.
I got the 360 before the dashboard update. I remember booting it up and playing the halo 3 campaign multiple times on heroic with my brother, goofing around just like we did when playing the original CE and halo 2, and playing slayer splitscreen. Ahh, good times! Too bad I didnt get live until years later. I’m still mad that I purchased a fake hard drive to play Halo CE backwards compat on the 360 only to realise I needed a genuine microsoft one for it to work!
It was Black Friday 2011. My father and I left to Sam’s Club around 4 AM, EST. There, when the doors opened at 5AM, shivering cold, wind blowing, $300 in pocket, I walked in with only a few other people.
I was handed a flyer, with the 360 bundle on it, and told the clerk that’s what I wanted. It was a black 360 Elite, 250 GB, with Halo Reach, and Fable 2. When we got back home, I stayed up studying my new console, looking at the menus, creating my avatar, and downloading Reach, as it was a digital copy.
After all day downloading Reach, it wasn’t even close to finished. So my father took me to Gamestop, bought a physical copy of Reach instead, and a 2nd controller for him to play with me. At this time I owned a Wii and a Gamecube, so the social online gaming was foreign to me.
After installing Reach, I had the biggest smile ever. Soon after is where I met my friends, who are still with me after 6 years. Unfortunately, my father is not. He passed away on February 10th, 2016, from a brain anurisum. That is my best memory of the 360, for it will always be remembered.
I never actually owned a 360 (the xbox one is my first xbox console), my cousins did though. Every week, we would go over to their house and mess around. We spent countless hours running around aimlessly on Cortana and jumping every time we saw a flood form. We also played some CoD but that was alsmost never. It was always Halo 3.
Good times
I just liked playing the Halo 3, 4, and Reach Campaigns with my brother. Those were good times.
Playing Halo Reach and Halo 4 with my younger brothers and wrecking them at it was really fun. They always wanted to be on my tea so that they could avoid lossing, but on a few rare ocassions they managed to pull through and beat me.
Well me And my brother and step Brothers would play 4 player split screen on halo 3 and as much as I hate halo 3 I always got out voted until reach came out and we played it always offline we had no clue there was such things as “online” gaming I was 7 at the time maybe 8 I’m now 13 and still asking them,“man, 6 years and you guys still can’t beat me” lol we all have a competitive type personality
When I got my 360. My cousins gave me Halo 3 ODST as a birthday present. It was when I first was introduced to Halo…I followed some time later by purchasing Halo 3 and fell more into the franchise. Then came Halo Reach and my personal favorite, Halo 4.
I still love my 360 and so i still play them in it
Coming home from school getting on the 360 with my mates and playing Halo 3 was some of the best times i have had gaming and the custom games so much fun, I do miss it which is probably the main reason i always come back to Halo and always want it to be the best halo ever made
I never owned a Xbox 360. So not for me!
Halo 3 was the reason I even got a 360 in the first place. My buddies all had it, and I was the loser outside the pack. Spent a TON on hours battling on H3 with them. Damn them good old days.
