I just watched the Halo 5 Beta Trailer and I am very disappointed. It advertized “ALL NEW SPARTAN ABILITIES” this tells me they still following the CoD/Halo recipe.
Which is huge let down.
Halo 4 was a colossal failure, after the hype wore off Halo 4 became impossible to play. There was issues all over the place. 343 created a awful game that had a list of problems. Like joining in games with the outcome already determined, small character models with large reticles.(They added small character models and large reticles to decrease the skill gap) and on top of this was a bunch of silly armor abilities, that nobody cares for. Seriously Halo 4 feels like Batman Gotham City Impostors Halo Edition.
343 needs to listen to us, or Halo 5 will flop harder than Halo 4 and Reach combined.
Bro, where have you been? Get updated, Spartan Abilities have been clarified long since. They are not Spartan Armor abilities.
Spartan Abilites is another term for Spartan features, such as hijacking, dual wield, or melee. It means that every Spartan will be able to do the same thing across the board…

How is adding new default player actions “following the CoD/Halo recipe”? Not that I’m so familiar with CoD anymore, but I didn’t get the impression that CoD has added any new default player actions.

Please elaborate. What does large reticles have to do with small player models? How does that decrease the skill gap?

So all of their Spartan can go into your reticule without any effort. On long range you often don’t even have to move your analog stick even though people are strafing or jumping …
We need smaller reticules and bigger player models.
The character models are very small in halo 4. The size of the spartan, making it easier to shoot. Also the reticle sizes are very large again making it easy to shoot. I thought the models where small in Halo Reach, but Halo 4 took to a new level.
In my opinion a game should never cater to poor players, it destroys everything a good about games.

That would be bullet magnetism/aim assits, not actual reticule size, and red reticule range as well.
And enlarging player models would then again do the same, you’d have an easier time aiming as targets would be bigger, even with a smaller aim assist area.
I think you’re looking for a tighter cone for the aim assist, if they use a cone for that.
That would only apply in the real world. But this is a game, so when a player is smaller at all distances it makes it easier to hit. Unlike in previous Halos where your Spartan would appear larger. It would be much harder to hit since he could escape your reticle easier.
Dont believe me? Them why is strafing not important in Halo 4? or as important.

The reticule visualizes the aim assist (and where your bullet goes). Aim assist and reticule is tied together so what he and both I meant was to reduce them both.
Debating bigger models is hard (Or at least I have to write a lot, something I don’t want to).
If you increase the size of a model you would want to change the speed, map, and how something changes when we are talking about distance, smaller and bigger (scaling) etc.
At least make it so you have to put some effort into moving your reticule wherever the player is compared to you.

Whoa there, don’t start hating on a game that hasn’t been released yet. Play the game and then make your decision about it. Remember, you can’t judge a book by its cover.
