The game crashed again … live… during an offline event… lmfao

You are living a fantasy if you think this game shouldn’t have way more population that it does. It is a sad state.

Can’t forget the Nolan Grayson guy either lmao. He got ratio’d once and thinks he has an obligation to defend this game

Where did you get these numbers? Raleigh’s peak was 260k players easily.

It is almost impossible for any Esport, especially a relatively unpopular one like Halo to pull millions of viewers lol. Understand that Anaheim is just a minor, it is reasonable to think that World’s (which could be a 5 million dollar tourney) could have much higher numbers. The fact the viewership didn’t hit a wall is shocking, ambitious time to have a final for any game.

So you believe viewership numbers are meaningless? You don’t think that Fortnite or Apex or whatever are remotely popular? You see no correlation with success on Twitch with success in general?

I think this is such a god awful take. Even if you believed that, it still tells you the game is popular. Let me riddle you a question Batman… If all a game needed to get huge viewership is twitch drops why doesn’t every game get absurd amounts of viewers? Now its reasonable to assume it increases viewers (that’s the whole point!) but to seriously believe that cosmetics get people to watch something for days/weeks at a time? Even regular Pro Series gets good viewership (and that’s on weekdays) so this argument is dumb.

Yeah just like people watch Superbowl for the sake of sports.

I got the skins and the pose and I want the game to make a good comeback if for no other reason than to make a lot of the people who frequent these forums angry that the game didn’t vanish into the aether

Oh, it’s you again. You don’t get the hint.

:raised_hands:

They force people to log in for eternity to get cheap loot. False numbers. Move along.

Those are all players.

Gods, I keep telling y’all it’s not about HCS being popular or anyone caring about it, it’s about Halo players getting stuff for their game, lol.

It’s like nobody’s reading.

and thats why so many ppl were watching LMAO

me too but i dont think it will there too much wrong, an with the new geofilter ban the pop. is going to drop even further

EXACTLY !
Besides, you also have to account for the fact that a majority of the playerbase don’t watch HCS.
Some of us have other things to do or just simply want to play the game we own rather than watch others play it.
For example, I have been a Halo fan since 2002 and have most of the books and all the games. Do I watch HCS?
Nah.
I would rather enjoy the game rather than watch what is essentially an ultra-sweaty let’s play. And that is me personally.

The best part is how you have actual measured numbers behind your points and they’re all like “what? metrics? What do metrics matter? :upside_down_face:

I’m trans too wanna make fun of me as well, cause IDGAF,

It’s the same type of people that want to ignore the accuracy metrics for M&K vs Controller. Everyone wants to believe whatever they want to fit their own narrative, regardless if it’s the truth or not.

Do they make money on these events or is it a prestige/marketing thing?

I’ve never really got the idea behind E-Sports. I can watch people playing Hearts of Iron or Stellaris but they have stuff to talk about and team chat there to liven things up.

They have lots of sponsorships and they were airing commercials for like, the Marines. So, I’m assuming they raked in some cash for this event.

They also crowd funded to boost the prize money apparently.
