Literally all of those players are going to or looking to get drops. If anyone’s there who’s not a Halo player they’re in a very low percentage. This isn’t even counting the crowd who doesn’t care.
lmao, threads whinging on about how dead the game is but here we are at 50,000 friggin’ viewers for an ESports event for a, “Dead” game.
76k viewers across the whole of the event and it’s not even properly got going yet. Hopefully even after the skins are all unlocked players are keen to watch.
That’s why I like Overwatch where you can get like 5 credits for watching an hour. People end up putting it on for the credits and end up getting into it.
50,000 isn’t a high bar to reach at all. Once all the drops have been acquired the view count will probably drop unless a lot of players forget that they muted the stream and left it running in the background on audio only.
I don’t think E-sport stream numbers reflect on the player count of the game. I just don’t see the appeal in watching someone else play a video game especially if they’re also stroking their massive ego, while doing so. Personally I’d rather be playing a game myself, or doing just about anything else instead of watching that.
This is hilarious in every respect. “I don’t see the appeal so it’s not really important.”
Virulent, there’s drops. People are getting free stuff for watching. All of them are Halo players as a result. C’mon.
I mean, it’s in the top ten streams. Behind Asmongold, League of Legends tournament streams, Lost Ark Streams, and a couple Minecraft streams. 50,000 active viewers is quite a bit.
The drops are the only reason I have Twitch open. I wasn’t referring to that aspect. Without the drops it’d certainly be lower. There’s going to be people only there for the drops, and some that genuinely enjoy watching E-sports. I just assume the latter would be the minority.
I don’t follow streams at all, so I don’t know who that is. Maybe these numbers are high for the average stream? If 50,000 is up there with what I’m assuming is a big streamer it might just be it’s own little niche. I’m just thinking that with the amount of people that play video games in general 50,000 is a drop in the ocean.
Mmmhmmmmm, yesssss… That’s true, mhm, yeah and I’m playing Skyrim as we speak, just have it open… So…
…Those are all still Halo: Infinite players. Who want an item. What uh, what aren’t you getting about that?
Mhm, yeah this is known. Not even what I’m talking about. If you want a good playercount, this is how you can see it. Because we’re all waiting on drops. We all want something. For the game we play.
I don’t usually watch twitch, but I do watch youtube videos from time to time. But 50k concurrent viewers in the middle of a work day is pretty dang good for a supposedly “dead” game
So many people are watching at the very least for the drops. That’s a lot of people showing interest in drops. I imagine a good amount of people are watching for the tournament also.
Asmongold is probably the most popular MMO streamer. Lost Ark just came out so he’s got an astronomically high viewer count of 300k right now. A League of Legends tournament going on right now has 86k viewers. So the Halo Infinite channel having 54k viewers is good.
Yup, and that implies they’re active players. And I’m willing to bet the majority of active players aren’t watching the stream right now. Only one of my Halo Infinite friends is currently watching the stream.
My point is that the viewers are not there for the stream, they do not care about E-sports, and that they are only there for the drops. In short hardly anyone is actually watching, because E-sports has low appeal.
Okay, and… So what? We’re talking about the playercount. I can see you shifting the goalpost here and honestly it’s very blatant. Besides, Esports has an appeal. A pretty decent one. But that’s not why the viewers are there. Everyone knows that.
They’re here for the drops. For the game they play. Are you not understanding this, no cap?
