I haven’t yet found any information on whether the Limited Edition will have F.U.D. on DVD or Blu-Ray, or both. I just got a blu-ray player and I’m loving the HD experience. If F.U.D. is only on DVD and we don’t get a Blu-Ray edition then I might as well buy the standard edition. I ain’t watchin’ no standard-definition crap.
Online stream with provided code to access.
Neither. It’s online only.

The Halo 4: Limited Edition will contain a code for Forward Unto Dawn to be streamed online.
It has been confirmed however that FuD will be released on Blu-Ray at in December.
“In an early announcement to retailers, 343 Industries and Anderson Merchandisers will be releasing ‘Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn’ on Blu-ray on December 4.”
Download through Xbox LIVE… so I’m guessing it will be in 1080p.
Oh, ok. I guess I’ll get myself a capture card for that.

I’m not usually one to ask stupid questions, but I assume that isn’t a one-use stream right?
I was under the impression FUD would be a download. It’s kind of lame we don’t get it on disk by the way, but whatever.

None of the above

You’ll be able to stream/watch it as many times as you want.

Thanks for clearing that up mate! Appreciate that

Nope.
It will be available to buy later on though.
Yeah, it’s a bonus that you pay a little extra for, but you never get to own it. It’s a pretty -Yoink- thing to do to your fanbase.

I feel like a few of you missed my earlier post.
You will be able to purchase a physical copy eventually:
It has been confirmed however that FuD will be released on Blu-Ray at in December.

I shouldn’t have to purchase it later. It should come with the LE. The streaming 90-minute cut that I’ll never physically own shouldn’t be touted as great incentive to pick up the LE. It’s a cheap move. The one thing 343 has done that has overwhelmingly disappointed me.

Yes, but this is just for the regular version cut, not the extended cut 90 minute version that supposedly comes with the Halo 4 LE edition…

Well. you do ‘own’ it, just online.
I don’t have a problem watching it online, it’s most likely 1080p anyway and I assume if most people are near there computer/laptop then they are at home, it just means watching it on a screen that isn’t your TV and you can always buy a HDMI cable for your TV to computer anyway.
I understand it’s annoying not having a physical copy but a lot more things these days are being situated online.

That’s not ownership, that’s permission to watch it. A download would be ownership. My kids can’t inherit something streamed.
Also, don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Waypoint isn’t exactly the most “well maintained” corner of the internet.

You are given a code with Limited Edition, this is effectively your Forward Unto Dawn. Only you and whoever also has Limited Edition is now able to watch it online. Therefore ‘you’ own the item, just because it’s online doesn’t mean you don’t own it. It’s 'online ownership’ not ‘physical ownership’. It’s up to you if you want to share the code or viewing with anyone, friends or family, just like you would do with a physical DVD but instead with a code online.

Wasn’t he asking about the one that comes with the LE? I thought that was the only way to get it in its 90-length version.

Same here…
