Why the -Yoink- is Halo 5 about 90 GB?! So recently Halo 5: Forge released on PC and that is only about 40 GB. It only includes custom games and Forge so is Campaign and Warzone to blame for taking up so much space? And don’t say it’s graphics because on Halo 5 on PC has the option for 4K resolution at 60fps.

The reqs are all server side anyway so they don’t count towards the data total. I honestly have no idea why it’s so huge and I don’t suspect we’ll ever find out.

Campaign, Firefight and Warzone. PC only has forge.
Possibly -Yoink!- pushing 343 to not compress files size to take up more room on the xbox to force 1tb and newer models on all the gamers who have the 500g model now. But that is just a little conspiracy I have.

I was going to say this. So I will add, -Yoink!- want to be able to access everything on your hard, so they can use the connect to spy on everything in the camera’s view. My own conspiracy theory!

When the game first released it was closer to 60GB
lo and behold a year of monthly dlc, new maps, new reqs and new features that number quickly jumped to 90gb. It’s not really all the surprising honestly.
it’s a bit ridiculous I’d say. I keep it for the campaign but 90gb and growing for what isn’t an especially great campaign experience is somewhat absurd from my angle
Can people stop saying the data for the req’s is all server side? There’s no way that physically works. The data usage would be rediculus and wasteful, not to mention your xbox would still need to temporarily store the information, taking up additional space temporarily just to dump it then redownload again next match.
Then you have the people who’ve literally found extra weapons in halo 5’s forge, something that’d be pretty hard to do if the files were all located on 343’s servers only.
We should have the option to delete forge. I never use it and wont ever use it
I prefer more content so a larger size doesn’t bother me personally… Maybe you should invest in a larger hard drive?

Im going to be honest, Im fine with it for taking up that much since that’s the only game I play other than overwatch.

as a regular DLC (what everybody say the monthly “req paid” [still can’t believe anybody bought that sorry excuse for microtransactions] updates were), it should be optional so you should be able to delete… so maybe the “DLCs” where just updates and h5 was an early access game…
sorry for salty post (and maybe even half true, because you would need forge to play forge maps in matchmaking. at least i think so… but than again that would be optional DLC maps)

Yeah, deleting forge is pointless if you want forge maps in rotation with splitting the community.
