9 new maps, what would you like them to be?

Just curious to see what everyone’s ideas for the 9 new maps we are going to get.

ME…

  1. A covenant ship map. mid-sized. symmetrical in shape. has organic plant life in the middle, kind of like a bio-dome. 3+ stories high so snipers and jetpacks would work well on this map. image a larger version of Midship/Zealot. with path ways that are outside of the ship, making some low gravity gameplay.

  2. A desert/mountain/volcanic map. large-sized. with wreckage of a UNSC ship scattered all around. asymmetrical in shape. one team base would be a small cave with a couple of tunnels as extra routes to get in and out. the other team base would be a part of the UNSC ship with 3 levels and high enough to scope out the map with a sniper, but a lot of cover for people to get around without being sniped. would have a mine field or something that, like Sandtrap from Halo 3 had.

  3. A city map. on a human planet. sort of like turf and terminal mixed, the look of turf, but with a train that speeds through every so often. mid-sized or large-sized. asymmetrical. one team base would be at the gate to the town/city, and the other team base would be in a parking garage.
    there would be a sewer system to travel through. two large building that are good for sniping.

  4. Another snow map. mid-size. a lot of trees and rocks, for cover. symmetrical with asymmetrical features. each teams base is on a cliff/hill. forerunner structures, looking similar to the bases from Snowbound from Halo 3, shield doors and all. a cave/tunnel on each side of the map leading to the other side, also there would be a passage way in each tunnel/cave that leads to a cliff, if you want to do a little sniping, but there will be gravity lifts that play as alternative routes to the cliffs.

  5. An island map. mid to large sized. asymmetrical. one team base is a small covenant camp set up for research, the other team base is large forerunner structure that leads underwater with tunnels that leads under the island and in the middle of the map is an area to drop down leading into the base and a energy field that shoots players into the air to get to the top of the island.

  6. A forest map. small in size. lots of trees, bushes, etc. human camps set up through out the map. asymmetrical.

  7. A training area on the Infinity, or on the wreckage of the FUD. kind of like The Pit from Halo 3, with the shooting range characters and all. small in size. symmetrical.

  8. A covenant ship map. small. an octagon. looks like a mix between Foundation and Warlock/Wizard. three levels high.

  9. A forge map. like this idea i came up with a week ago.

A Forge map bigger than my closet and at least a couple of remakes.

I agree with both.

the forge maps seem a bit small, but thats not going to stop me from creating something great on them. what I would like to see is a forge map pack, 3 or more of the maps are layouts from halo reach’s forge world, but each with a different environmental look, like one snow, the other grassy fields, and the other, maybe like a desert. only reason for cutting forge world into 3 or more separate maps is to make it flow better. meaning no lag when playing. and giving us different pallets for each different environment.

and I too would like to see atleast 3 more remakes. if I had a choice… Waterworks, Zanzibar/Last Resort, and Burial Mounds.

A Sandbox remake. With the ability to block the Guardians to expand the map just like in Halo 3. Ah, good times…

Also, a city map. Something like Terminal or Terf. Maybe find a way to combine the features of both?

Oh yeah lol… I forgot all about sandbox. loved forging on that map.

You’re talking about DLC’s, right?

And yeah I definitely agree with the city one. Headlong was an awesome map and I’d like to see them expand on the urban idea.

And we need more open maps. Unless the last in-game map is one. All 3 btb maps so far, while nice, are canyons, often with hills and rough terrain. Vehicle use is somewhat limited.

yes, DLC.

Headlong was ok. but I’d like a more “city” looking map.
