85% plays perfectly!.. except..

1st and foremost… the Magnum still sucks. It’s alot more toned down and easier to control… but am still finding myself blooming mad! (pun intended)

The DMR is PERFECT. Just like the one in the Beta practically… I love it to DEATH! There needs to be WAY more Slayer DMRs 85B. I hate theres more reg. “Slayer” gametypes (AR+Magnum) Starts. Why where these even put in here? IDK…

BUT, one thing… and what I want to focus on primarily here with this topic IS the DMR. That AND Bleed Through. I find that BT likes to reward me ALOT for consecutively hitting my enemy in his noggin. If I’m correct… 4 consec. shots to the head and your dead. If all shots hit the head.

More or so less it could also be 4 shots to the body, 1 to head.

I can’t comprehend it all really… that is if BT is good for Reach or not. Well you say “Oh Halo 2 and Halo 3 had BT!” YEAH it did… but it didn’t have ARMOR ABILITIES.

This is where I think Bleed Through is kind’ve a BAD concept when mixed with AA’s. It kind’ve ruins the BASE concept of why we have Armor Abilties in the 1st place! Really mostly applies to AL and Jetpack.

AL I find myself dying wayyyy before hand, before I can remotely attempt to hit LB. Yay?

Jetpack is becoming MORE and MORE abused day in, day out. Esp. with AL/AC nerfs present it’s seeing more and more play. (At least in NON-ZB gametypes)

TL;DR
I <343 for what they’ve done with 85%. It’s made Reach perfect in my eyes and should be spread like a virus across all of Default Reach MM. Now the DMR is worthy of being called a Designated “Marksman” Rifle!

I wouldn’t mind trying out something in between 0% and 85% bloom - as it stands ZB is insane (fun, but all magnums) and 85% still feels kinda spammy with the DMR, and the Magnum takes just a shade more pacing than I’d like - it’d be nice if they threw out a few 75% and a few 50% gametypes for us to try, just to see. I mean, the feedback might be a little complicated, but with a decently structured forum for it (a feedback forum wouldn’t be a bad idea actually), it would give us the opportunity to give 343 some really detailed opinions on the balance of the game, and maybe end up seeing something we like in the end. I kinda wish they included a gametype with a universal bloom reduction - the AR could be a lot of fun with a slightly tighter spread…

Lessons learned.
Don’t depend on armor lock. It is for people who SUCK hard.
Don’t fly up in the air with jetpack like every other fool thinking it creates some kind of advantage. It doesn’t. It gives me the advantage of an easy kill, every time.

Sprint will always be the only AA I will ever use.
Everything else is just stupid and should be removed from the game as they just provide a crutch for casuals.

I think 85 % works beautifully. I havent got screwed over once by bloom since I started playing. Zero bloom is even better tho. I love the magnum in both playlist idk why you say it sucks. Pace dont spam buddy

NR and magnum are reduced from 7 to 6sk and 5 to 4sk, respectively

I don’t mind if bleedthrough stays or goes, but one thing is for sure: MELEE is too powerful, one hit takes down whole shield as well as health (down to yellow bars)

It should only take the shield down if opponent has full shield
