8 Missions is fine, they will be 'explorable'

If you recall, sometime back 343i said the world will be explorable and yet still be a linear campaign. Take a look at the Achievement: “Midnight Launch”. It say’s “n Mission 2, get significant air in the Warthog <mark>at midnight.</mark>”, I’m guessing the time in Requiem goes according to your playtime and the start of the mission, or there are many parts to a mission.

Sounds like what Bungie did with Halo CE then gave up on it.

That would be awesome if the looks of the level changed as your play time increases…

Anyway 8 missions is ok but only if there fairly long(Like the level Cortana in halo 3…Took a *while)

*While=2 and a half days for me…

I think eight missions will be fine. The second mission is called Midnight so i would figure that it takes place at night.

Probably a big warthog moment during the level where you will have a chance to get some serious air.

A live level with a change of time would be cool to expierence.

i was lookin at the soundtrack seen fifteen tracks and was pumped til i got to the achievement. but im sure itll still be good

And now that Brutes and Hunters have been confirmed, I’m even more excited.

This makes me want to play the Halo 4 Campaign even more!

Plus we got Spartan Ops that have an average of 15 minutes per mission. We’re getting a bit more than what we normally would get from at least the campaign perspective in a Halo game.

my hope is that every mission is around 1 1/2 - 2 hours long.

Why would anyone want it to be that long? I’m going to have to take breaks…

Why are people freaking out? Halo Reach had eight missions; I’d hardly call ‘Lone Wolf’ and a cutscene called ‘Welcome to Reach’, a mission.

I hate long missions, some of us have homework you know.

That said, I love long missions.

I think the “midnight” section o this mission would be a small section in it, with a clever name to disguise it. It is probably dark on requiem at this point, and the clock just so happens to hit midnight at a certain point. Then, you must be able to achieve “massive air” some way, probably by going down a separate path. The real question though, is how massive is massive air? a few feet, or super half-mile leap, like dutch in ODST.

I thought the campaign was stated to be the longest one out of all of the Halo campaigns. Even if the missions are long and have many parts, the story itself must be short. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Quality over quantity.

Brutes better be part of a different faction than the Storm. Because Brutes and Elites hate each other, if they team up in Halo 4, I don’t think I will be getting the game, its just too much of a bastardization to the canon. Its like having a grunt be courageous or have master chief star crying like a baby.

This wouldn’t be much of a canon breach.

H3: Grunts get stuff put into their methane making them even more crazier.
Reach: I don’t know how these equally psycho Grunts turned into the cute and lovable CE Grunts but then again, Reach canon sucks.

Anyways, I wouldn’t be too surprised if the Grunts were courageous. Their new appearance makes it suitable behavior.
