8 GB required to play Halo 4 MP

If someone posted this earlier, sorry. In case you didn’t hear, it is required to have 8 GB of free storage to play H4 MP which means those with the Arcade Xbox, and other types similar will need additional space.

Just a heads up.

Another one of Microsoft’s gimmicks to make you spend money on stuff you don’t need?
Thank goodness I have the first gen elite Xbox with tons of room left

Only b/c of Spartan-Ops. Multiplayer refers to anything involving multiple players (this includes co-op), not just matchmaking.

However, due tot he fact that Halo 4 is pushing the 360 to it’s limits it’s recommended that you install the game to your hard drive anyway.

Yeah I saw that, I thought it was really weird.

Yeah, but tbh, the hard drives are pretty cheap. Used ones at GS are like 15 bucks for a 20 gib, or 30 for 250.

I also have an Elite, I have around 62GB’s left, but hopefully there will be a Halo 4 Console Bundle this fall.

Really? The guy who originally asked this question said if it would be necessary, but Frankie replied saying it was enough, not compulsory to have. I assume this is with the game installed and with all “50” Spartan ops missions, how you can say this is just another gimmick for Microsoft to get money really surprises me. It’s a big game it requires more space that is all.

Your post is a gimmick.

What OP doesn’t realize/understand is that the 8GB is the amount of space you should have free to install the game to the hard drive. Also as started before, they’re pushing the Xbox 360 to it’s limits, thus it’d highly suggested that you install the game to the hard drive.

Regardless, there are millions who don’t install games due to lack of space. The majority of 360 users have the old Xbox with a 20 gig.

Eh i have more than enough room leaftover from my 120 GB HDD. 27 leftover or so. This should be no problem for myself.

For the rest with storage issues do to smaller hardrives? You still have time to invest in one with larger memory space. Or start deleting games, music, videos, and such that take up space.

Does it really matter?? This kind of issue is nonsense for halo fans.

I have room so im fine with it .

Also im, thinking if you delete each ops mission after playing it you will need much less room

Although it still sucks for the most part .

its really not an issue if you only have the 4GB version of the 360 than you probably don’t do that much with it. I have a 250 GB HDD in mine and I install every game I buy. If they do come out with a console bundle I might be tempted but considering I purchased the Reach bundle I probably wouldn’t buy it unless they have something really special just for the console bundle.

I thought BF3 took up too much memory. At least I got a 120G hard drive this week.

That’s me. Just bought a new drive though.

…thats not a gimmick. 343i has said it numerous times that they have pushed the xbox 360 to its limits. Im not surprised we need 8GB. BF3 required even more. I don’t remember how much exactly but it was more and that was a cross platform game…this isn’t a microsoft gimmick…

Looks at reach console smiles and says dont worry daddy’s coming home.
