8 body shots to kill now instead of 7?

I’m just curious because I noticed that health bar is divided in to 4’s now and not into three like it was in Halo: Reach/Halo 4(though you couldn’t see the health bar in Halo 4, but it still took 7 body shots to kill with BR/DMR/Lightrifle, leading me to believe that it now takes 8 body shots with the BR/DMR to kill someone instead of 7 (I’m not sure if the pistol is also 8 body shots or not). Has anyone tested this theory out on an AFK player? I don’t have a problem with it taking 8 body shots to kill someone instead of 7. In fact, I believe that this makes more sense, in that it takes you the same amount of shots to take down shields (4 body shots) as it does to kill someone (4 body shots), being 8 total body shots in total and not 7 (and you know how Bungie loves the number 7). ALSO as a result of this, doesn’t 343i need to make the DMR have 16 bullets in each magazine instead of 14? I think the DMR would need to have 16 bullets now because in Halo: Reach/Halo 4, you had enough bullets per magazine to kill 2 players if you don’t miss any of your shots (i.e. 7 bullets per player because it took 7 bullets to completely kill someone body shot-wise, and 7 x 2 = 14). If it is the case that it takes 8 body shots kill someone and not 7, you would need to have 16 bullets per magazine to still be able to kill 2 players if you don’t miss any of your shots (i.e. 8 bullets per player because it would take 8 bullets to completely kill someone body shot-wise, and 8 x 2 = 16). Any thoughts on my speculation?

Hm. I haven’t tested this, but if it’s true, it does seem like it needs to be adjusted to allow for two kills per clip.

I doubt it. DMR has always been 7, and with the BR being able to three-shot shields, I would assume it is either 6 or 7.
