Wtf is this bullshite
Well it’s definitely worse than getting 100% win in slayer and getting gold 4
That doesn’t make any sense. You should be atleast a gold

I’ve seen that before too many times…
When you do your placement matches the system uses your ranks from previous seasons when setting up a game in match making.
If you had a gold 3 in that playlist in the previous season you will get matched with players around that level. Best case is you win all your games and get platinum. But most likely you will get the same or lower. Who you party with matters too. If everyone in your squad is silvers then you will match with lower level players meaning a win gives you less and a lose effects you more. The opposite is also true. You could roll with a squad of Onyx players as a gold. But will that give you a Onyx rank? unlikely, but it would probably give you a higher rank than the previous season.
The system is aimed at progression and in my experience so far you get placed a handful of levels below where you were the previous season.
But thats really just my thoughts on it. Could be way off.
My best guess is that it depends on the rank of the people you played with, both team mates and enemies.
You probably played a bunch of Bronze and Silver players…sucks I know I’ve been in the same boat on various playlists
Lucky, I wish I could get bronze in Breakout to finish the commendations.

That is how it works. I usually end up getting placed too high for my skill because I’m always playing with people way better than me and we do pretty good even though I suck. So last time I got ranked Plat 2 and I’m defiantly not a Plat 2. LOL
But yeah basically depends on what ranks you are winning and losing against.

I created a smurf account just to test this and it matches up pretty well. I have no interest in even playing breakout anymore because of the bullshite csr system. No matter what I do I will get ranked a bronze 1 after my qualifying matches so why bother with it? 343 need to fix the weighting given to previous seasons. I actually started this season on my account facing opponents that were platinum and gold due to my fire team and got beat badly. Did this matter that 3 of my losses were to vastly superior players? Nope. I finished 5-5 and just under 1.0 k/d (have gotten to 1.0 after 2 additional game) and STILL got Bronze yoinking 1.
For comparison sake:
My real account in March season (Personal best season) had a 5-5 w/l record with a personal k/d of 1.375 including several vanquisher medals and a couple of bifectas and a trifecta. Result: Bronze 1.
My smurf account in May season had a 3-7 w/l record with a personal k/d of 0.585 and only 1 vanquisher medal. Result: Silver 5 about 7/8 of the way to Silver 6.
343 needs to fix the weighted system. I shouldn’t have to be dominating against golds to get better than bronze 1.
The system really shouldn’t be set up to make your rank worse every time unless you are measurably doing worse.
