72 hours DLC

I think the Halo Escalation “72 hours” SHOULD BE a playable DLC (Or a terminal/Cutscene) for the Halo 4 (Since it has sold in Millions therefore more player base) or as a first DLC to the MCC. But it has to make its way to the gaming mainstream before HALO 5 hits the world.

If not atleast a stand alone Novel (Bring back Eric Nylund for this, only he knows how to handle John and the Blue team)

What do you guys think?

Don’t quote me on this, but I think I heard that the Next 72 Hours would be animated in one of the Master Chief Collection terminals or cutscenes.

Sounds splendid!

I say it fits best as a prologue in Halo 5. There’s too much in The Next 72 Hours to dismiss completely or again place in outside media.

Could be the prologue for Halo:MCC

nope. they dont have any spare dev time, and the story is very clearly not essential to understanding future Halo. it’s just its own thing

Why do you think it’s a minor event?

Return of blue team, Didact’s fate and Chief’s recovery (sort of). I don’t see how this an irrelevant event

Master Chief’s reunion with Blue Team, Black Team’s Massacre, the Ur-Didact’s “containment”, 6 new Composers and an installation that makes composers, and a monitor taking custody of a Halo with the intent to repair it.
Sure… completely irrelevant.

Chief and Blue Team are about the only things really relevant.
Black Team’s only been in a comic and a short story. Not relevant to h5.
The Didact depends how they want to re-introduce him, but him falling into the portal is good enough explantion likely
Aren’t those composers and the installation partially destroyed?
A single line about a stolen halo is all thats needed to cover it.

Nah, if it was a prologue in a Halo game, it would probably be in Guardians instead of the MCC.

I’d rather have the ‘72 Hours’ sequence in a terminal(s) rather than DLC. Actually, I want the sequence in a prologue or terminal. Because many Halo players don’t know about Escalation. Blue Team’s return and the Didact are something pretty large story wise. and I would hate for it to be exclusively retained to a bunch of comic books you have to pay for.
