given that you could actually earn points to get the REQ packs, yes.
Maybe they changed it, i only got to level 120+ or something i honestly cant remember but couldn’t you earn everything for free just by playing?
I think there was RNG on what you got but you could still earn everything for free. I haven’t really changed my armour in infinite since the first month it was released as a “beta”
Whenever I buy items from the shop I sing a happy song.
“Buy-ing some stuff, Buy-ing some stuff!
I’m gonna buy some stuff
I like stuff, I want the stuffs
Stuffy stuff-stuff, I want the the stuffs!”
They help me win games by, well, I guess, hmm. Oh no, I just figured out that none of the various cosmetics actually does anything at all and has no value at all whatsoever. I just figured out that all of these cosmetics are just cosmetic. I never realized that until you made your super helpful post.
Do you feel fulfilled now? By your own admission you don’t even play Infinite but that hasn’t stopped you from trolling on its forum. Are you going to finally stop mindlessly beating on that dead horse after literally years of pointless posts that haven’t informed anyone of anything they didn’t already know?
I did a whole calculator of good prices for each cosmetic piece months ago, and even with implementing a rarity and no rarity system, its still stupid. like imo, items should be dirt cheap like a helmet @ 50 credits. (I’ll link it if anyone’s interested)
this is halo, the fact that its halo is the selling point. but even then armor doesnt really…“feel” good. imo, when I go play something like halo 4 or Reach or 3 (or the sprinkle amounts that i did play), when I saw someone with god tier armor with a sick effect. a part of me would go “dam, they must have sunk so many hours and it clearly shows”.
now when I see an Emile helm with the Judgement effect, or the paid yoroi armor with the 2 giant katanas and that neon themes and effect, tru they got a good look…but I dont get that same feeling from them as they just paid for it. which I really feel that that feeling is important to halo as well. Halo 5 has somewhat of the same problem as well, which they semi-fixed with the addition of targetmaster pistol skins and Achilles armor.
How do you figure I’m trolling? I’m just here to try to inject common sense into these types of discussions. If said items do nothing then they are useless, period. No value. What’s worse, this being an FPS, the player can’t even see whatever of the worthless items they whiff their time and/or money on in-game. I’ve seen mostly negativity in regards to the game in general, perhaps if gameplay was focused on rather than useless pixel variants(mostly only able to be viewed by players other than the user) infinite would be in a better state.
100.000%! Bar a few cosmetics like the HCS items, nothing in Halo 5 is unlockable only via microtransactions. This means that it is entirely possible for a player to get everything from normal silver/gold REQ packs without spending a single dime. Unlike Halo (In)finite, where the vast majority of seriously hideous and unnecessary cosmetics are blocked by paywalls.
Just bought said helmet, call me stupid if you want. I only used Microsoft rewards, and I now have ODST helmets on most of my cores
the attachment its supposed to come with doesnt even exist anymore
that helmet is mad uggo
