This hasn’t been even hinted to at all. But consider the idea of playing Battlefield-size games in Halo multiplayer. It’s something I’ve always wanted; I think it would be straight up epic. Naturally, it would have to be Spartans vs Elites. I don’t mean to take out any of the existing game-types (even our old 16 player BTB), but what if there were a few Forge World-type maps that you could play huge objective games on. Just a thought.

I can’t say for certain, but I feel that would get insane really quickly. If anything, I’d like to see a mix of Invasion and Firefight. 6 v 6 with bots. I think that would be cooler (and easier to achieve) than 32 v 32 Halo. But I dunno. That’s just my gut reaction.
It’ll never happen. The max will always be 16 players. 32 is a long far off dream that will finally be realized in two more generations of consoles. With the Xbox Three comes out, then you’ll have you’re 32 vs. 32. Till then, deal with 8 vs. 8 and be happy we have anything at all.

mcc was made by at least 8 different companies it’s just 343 that’s making h5 and i’m SURE that 343 will learn from what ever mistakes they made with mcc.

Bf4 can have 64 players and back on 360 homefront had 16 v 16 battles so halo 5 isn’t far from the flock when it comes to the system and developers haven’t even pushed the boundaries for the xbox one just yet
Would I like to see a high player count Halo game(As in set in the Halo universe)? Yes.
Would I like to see high player counts in Halo 5(or any ‘core’ Halo game)? Yea Gods no.
The needs of a 64 player count game(and upwards) are completely different to a 4v4-8v8 shooter like Halo. Much of the design just isn’t compatible, it would be like trying to design and balance to completely separate games at the same time.
Both experiences would end up being A.) Mediocre at best or B.) One aspect would get significantly more resources leaving the other experience lacking. It would fail for the exact same reason that ‘Competitive’ Battlefield fails, the sandbox just is not designed to support two very different styles of gameplay.
With that said seeing as Halo is a franchise, I don’t see any reason why we could not get a spin-off title that could do large scale gameplay. Once you cast off gameplay constraints from the ‘core’ series, there is so much potential for a cool large scale multiplayer Halo game. Class based Marines, ODSTs, etc, vs caste based Grunts, Jackals, Elites, etc. Pelicans, Phantoms, perhaps even Scarabs. It would be awesome, but I still like traditional Halo gameplay as well so I would not want to see that replaced.
Moral of the Story: You can’t please everyone with one game.
More players in multiplayer games don’t necessarily mean that it’s a better game nor will it have better gameplay.
Take PlanetSide 2 for example. You have literally hundreds of players in a single server and the gameplay devolves into a mess of a constant standoff at a single bridge. Outside of large party games (where one team is extremely coordinated), the gameplay is a mess.
