60fps mode Xbox one x

I understand this was a pre-alpha build and of course it’s work in progress.
Should we expect a performance mode on the One X console?.
A 1440p -1080p perfomance mode 60 fps, it’s not fair to play against Series X/S and PC at 30 frames.
Xbox one x is still a capable machine, can we expect that in upcoming flights or in the final game.
The game does feel a little bit unresponsive.
Thanks to 343 for your hard work
Edit: the perfomance option is enabled, feels so good!.. thank u 343 :revolving_hearts:

There is a report from a third party source (vgchartz.com) stating that The One X and Series X will both feature Performance and Quality modes but obviously take this with a grain of salt.

Also it seems that at least on the PC side that CPU is a major limiting factor when it comes to FPS. All of the CPU cores in the Xbox One family are pretty ancient so this could be the issue. We will have to wait and see.

The modes were in the game but both modes output was 4k 30fps

I really hope they can add this as an option cause I would totally play in 1080p or hopefully 1440p if it means I could get a higher frame rate on the One X

Hell, I’d be happy with even lower. H5 multiplayer is 900p and still looks great.

Need it to be a buttery smooth 60fps.

I hope, or else they need to tell us the goal before launch so we can take the necessary steps. I barely played the flight because of the low framerate.

To be completely frank…you should just be happy they are supporting an older generation console…The One X might not be able to handle the games graphical requirements to make it 60 FPS. 4k performance at 60FPS is extremely tough on a modern PC build that costs thousands of dollars…let alone a console that is years old at this point.

“It’s not fair to play against Series X/S and PC at 30 frames.”

Wants 60fps advantage over One S players. Self awareness = 0.

X1X doesn’t have the CPU to do 60fps and the game shouldn’t be compromised and delayed even further. This game has already been butchered by ;ast gen consoles and we don’t need to wreck the game any further. Why ruin a game forever just to upgrade from the reason you removed it in a year anyway?

It’s the CPU that is the bottleneck.

But all Battlefield games and 2042 can run at 60, Doom Eternal can run at 60, even Gears 5 runs at 60 and Halo Infinite isnt as heavy on the system like those games with bigger and similar scale.
When the flight was live there was a perfomance mode which was not en enabled on the console, the same modes appeared on the Series and just the perfomance mode was enabled on the series consoles.
I’m pretty sure 343 is going to add perfomance mode on the One X it is capable, the game was running pretty close to a native 4k.
A 1080p60 mode is more than likely.

It ran at 120 hz on the series X had an FPS of around 100 to 111.

  • Halo Infinite isn’t Doom Eternal. - 343 hasn’t had the pedigree of id, DICE or the Coalition. In truth 343 peaked with Halo 4, which looks better in TMCC than Halo 5.

As a One X owner until it died this summer and I bought a Series X, native 4K30 is easier for One X than 1080p60. That much has been clear by now. The problem is always a CPU bottleneck on that machine. If they do offer a performance mode, great. Good on them. That said, even if it does have a performance mode, and it should but not have much effort put into it, I would bet it’s going to be less 60 and more 52ish in terms of actual performance. I’m definitely not saying I wouldn’t choose that myself, but yeah I sincerely doubt 60. Unlocked is about as best as you should hope.

At the end i was right tho, 60fps 1440p performance mode runs pretty well 90% of the time.
It sticks to 60 frames most of the time.

.

Un enable the re enable performance mode every match and 60fps mode will work it’s annoying AF but I submitted a insider support ticket about it and I recommend you all do the same so vox they can fix it. It will helped out my game a ton today. I’ve done significantly better all day because of it and the game feels great in performance mode at 60fps on Xbox one x.

Yeah I get you but I’m not spending 500$ right now just to play halo you know
