I was playing tonight with friends, and although we had some problems with our Xbox Voice Party that kept cutting in and out, we played without quitting, one party member may have a bad router and he lost connection a couple of times. Ironically he wasn’t banned. but two of us were, with absolutely no quitting… and then we were banned for 60 minutes! Any idea what may have triggered this or how to avoid it in the future?
Thanks for any advice!
Well according to your service record you have quit / did not finish 6 of your last 11 games. That is possibly your problem?
Best way of avoiding the quit bans is to either not quit or just go play a much better game instead.
i’ve always been apposed to quit bans personally, to me they are more of a deterrent from loading up halo 4 in the first place rather than a deterrent from quitting matches… if im not having a good time, being spawnkilled, SWAT on ragnarok in multi-team won (kill it with fire) etc.
why should i HAVE to stay? i bought a video GAME on an ENTERTAINMENT system, i’d expect to have FUN with it… or at least, i did with my ps2…
The best thing is to reward staying, not punish quitting… make people feel like its worth it

Quitting defiantly needs punishing. If I am loosing in a game and quit I should be punished by ranking down in CSR. Unfortunately some people don’t care about CSR and play purely for fun and don’t care about CSR which is understandable. Then you get stat padders who play purely for KD and quit the moment they don’t enjoy getting beat/spawn killed (not like they have ever done it to others…).
But if you quit everyone in the lobby is going to be effected negatively. You quitting makes for harder games (player down) for your od team mates and makes games incredibly slow. Team Snipers in Reach was fun but most games dragged on double what they should have done because players quit… Think of it that way next time you quit, selfish if you ask me.
