Ok to start off halo 5 looks AMAZING and the gameplay looks smooth but there was a cutscene in the preview mission blue team that was 30 fps, now i don’t mind this but i was wondering if this was going to be in the final game or they are going to make it 60 before the release because the still do have 2 and a half months.
maybe it was the result of the video recorder or just a bug?
Ok My question has been answer yes it is suppose to be 30 (or 24) fps during cutscenes, to confirm i watch a video from 3 years ago of halo 2 (which was 30 fps) and watch it and notice the performance was actually pretty smooth so basically 30 fps works better with cutscenes

Cut scenes don’t really matter to me as they’re prerendered. They looked fine at whatever they have it locked at.
As much flak as the Order 188… Whatever dev’s got for saying it 30fps does does result in a much more cinematic feel so it’s very likely the cutscenes will indeed be 30fps.
60fps is great for gameplay, but 30fps is better for cinematic moments.
30fps would be ideal. 60fps would look weird for cinematics.

Oh ok well it had to be pointed out to so it isn’t that noticeable but i didn’t know that 30fps is better for cinematic moments but now that i think about it, it makes more sense, thanks for clearing that up

The first time I saw the Halo 4 cutscenes in the MCC it immediately looked off to me. 60fps cutscenes look super weird. As UrJesusDiedLmao said, it’s the equivalent of a TV show looking like a soap opera. 24 or 30fps is fine for cutscenes.

60fps will always look better no matter if its gameplay or cut scenes. I will always opt for higher frame rate. I may be in the minority but I liked The Hobbit at HFR (48fps) better than at LFR (24fps). I sincerely hope that all parts of Halo 5 are at 60fps.
