Played two games of ranked 2v2 with my friend. Disconnected out of both. I am disconnecting out of 25-30% of my games at this point. I am also seeing more and more threads about disconnecting coming up. This isn’t something that can just be ignored. It’s also fairly sad that you have to play the game with the mentality of “Oh man, I need to end the game before it drops me.”
Please, 343, a statement of any kind would be nice. Mere acknowledgement that there is an issue would go a long way.

the reason you lose 30 is becauae its counted as a resign/press start quit. the penalty for quitting is unessary but dodging and disconnects need to be
addressed

I got disconnected from 1 game today, fortunately not many more than that. However, the freezing is another issue that occurs frequently. It would be nice if they could focus on fixing these problems.

If you disconnect that often then it’s probably an issue with your internet. You should probably look into upgrading. I only dc like maybe once a week.
I’ve litterally went from Champion to low onyx due to mid season patches that caused me to disconnect from ever game I don’t get dodged. Maybe time to retire?

I pay for the best internet package money can buy in my area. I also experience no issues with any other game.
That sucks. I’ve honestly never had any issue with disconnecting from matches. It happened maybe twice throughout my whole career in this game so far. I know people have been saying it’s been happening frequently but there has to be a reason it happens to some people and it doesn’t happen to others. Maybe it’s a location issue?

I’m glad you posted something too. This needs EXTREME exposure and attention. It’s just too hard to grind up the ranks with these issues. Here is my comment from another thread I started on how they can address this…
“I have a pretty big problem with how disconnects are handled with this game. I have had to grind to get back to Champion in 1v1. Last night I got into the top 30, and things were going great. Then, two consecutive disconnects wiped out over a dozen games of progress (Games that I had clear advantages in btw). Not only that, but the game awards losses to BOTH players, and we’re not talking just standard losses… it hits you HARD!!! You lose about 60% of a rank for a disconnect that isn’t either players doing. We were both still connected to Xbox Live and still had the game open. Basically, the underlying software needs to do better at assessing the reason for the disconnect. If it can be determined that one players network was bad, then fine, assign the loss to them. But the strong majority of cases, it’s always been glitches and sync problems with the code itself. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THOSE GAMES GET DISCARDED!!! They can’t count as losses or wins.”

It never happened to me until the May 5 patch, but now I see it all the time. It’s definitely code based. Nothing to do with internet connections or users, because we will both still be connected to Xbox Live, and both players just sit there and stew trying to figure out why we both got assigned losses

Viper Skills is right. Nothing to do with internet. Xbox live connection is unaffected, and other games don’t suffer from the same problems. THIS HAS TO GET ADDRESSED ASAP. Silence from 343 on this issue is what bothers me even more.
I started getting them after the RIP kinsano patch, in Louisville, Ky. No issues with other games ever. Getting them every time it’s Scarab vs Banshee with a big pop I feel like. Also get them early, within 30 sec or so. I know in COD zombies, there was a too many entities crash when you killed a full pop of zombies with a wonder weapon in specific spots and such.
To my understanding, it’s due to much going onowhere on 1 screen when it comes to Scarab v air?
Rarely had issues before, if ever. I flew away from a Scarab with a 120 pop of banshee yesterday out of fear and luckily one the base trade… sucks I was scared to engage though.
I had similar issues a few days ago. I switched ISP (I have 2 lines at home) and the issue went away.
The funny thing is that the disconnects would even reset my router it was so weird, but it happened only with HW2 not with any other games like OW or GTA…
