6 week wait...?

So yea i was just told that if i didnt get the code now ill have to wait 6 weeks seeing how that falls into 2013 just for the code…im kinda about to say -Yoink- it

And who told you this?

I guess if it’s true, you can always max out Wetwork and Operator =P

Are you -Yoinking!- serious? 6 weeks? wow 343 wow. I don’t even know why I didn’t get a code. I played everyday before and after the 20th.

I don’t really care about getting the specializations all that much, but I gotta be honest"

If someone told me that I had to wait 6 weeks, on top of the three I’ve already “waited”, to gain access to content on a disc I’ve already paid 60 dollars for, I’d probably move onto another game.

> And who told you this?

Matt from xbox live surpport

I agree, but I also know they probably have a pretty full plate at the moment. Things will hopefully be set straight soon.

The specializations are going to be slowly leaked, 2 by 2,to the public via upcoming DLC (possibly Map Packs.) The codes that were being emailed were gifted to players that accomplished to player multiplayer before Nov 20th, and IMO were terribly organized and distributed by 343 Promotional Department. So if Matt from Xbox Support really is telling the truth about waiting 6weeks, I think thousands of disappointed gamers hearts just sunk.
If 343 doesn’t fix this whole “communicating with us” thing soon, more people are just going to be fed up and abandon this franchise all together, EVEN if they’ve been playing since CE. I see a lot of people who thought this game DIDNT BOMB, are now leaving because they are just done. SAD.

If you consider banning people for asking a question communication, then they will never succeed in that regard.

that is a meme. and it doesnt really apply here considering matt from support did his job.

yea he did…just felt my heart or something drop really upset due to what he told he was an awsome guy to speak with but having to wait til 2013…id have better luck just walking away from halo 4 if i have to wait that long

I had and strongly still HAVE faith in 343 to pull this together and turn it around after this specialization mess is sorted out.
Call it a loss though. More people are going to lose their codes to emails they have

  1. either been locked out of
  2. no longer exist
Gamers who received their emails today are already activating there specialization codes on the alternate email it was sent to and now cannot link Specialization Priority Alpha to the associated gamertag.
The promotional codes were a great idea for the people who played before the 20th it was something to LOOK FORWARD TO; but were badly handled and instead became more of a hassle and hate relationship with the support/communication department as well as the promotional department of the whole system.
Let’s just remember 343 isn’t Bungie and should be given a chance that I think any company has when they take on a major title that needs extra attention. Halo 4 is 343’s equivalent to Bungie’s Halo Combat Evolved and in the process of such a raw first edition Halo it turned into a very prosperous franchise. My point from that is that, Bungie’s support was terrible when Halo CE was released but gradually everything got better.
Rest assured, 343 is shaking their heads at themselves for this mess and how they can prevent from doing so again.

So codes are also being sent to the alternate email address ?

from what i know no there not only ones linked to your account

I would highly advise keeping an eye on your alternate email yes. Multiple reports of emails going to an alternate address and the code then being unavailable when redeemed on that address. READ EVERYTHING IN THE EMAIL. Look for something along the lines of “Microsoft…Gift” keywords in the title.
