6 months, 6 long months until E3, and we finally get some Infinite stuff again. It’ll be long, but we’ll make it, we’ve made it this far. Something I do hope they do during the wait/hiatus is putting out some pieces of concept art like every month or so, to bide us over until E3. At least at E3, we’ll get a massive blowout, and I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait. This’ll be an interesting 6 months.
I dont mind the wait… i have lots of halo to play until infinite comes out. Rumor has it that you get a reward in infinite when you hit max rank in mcc.

Unyshek talked about it on Twitter here.

Thats max rank in HALO 5, not MCC…
This is going to be one long year. Hopefully they do reward you for hitting max rank in Halo 5 & the MCC.
Can’t wait for Halo Infinite

Just 5, not the MCC. 5 yes, MCC no.
I kinda wish it was a Helmet or something, given you got something like that in Reach back when for hitting max rank. Given the grind in 5 is even sloggier, it really feels like a few big leaps backwards only handing out an emblem (or a Nameplate, assuming they do that). Would give folks a reason to keep playing 5 in the meantime too.
Imagine they pull a Coalition and just show some CGI trailer for a new mode and then wait until the last 3 months before launch to release info we actually want lol
If I recall correctly, the reward for hitting the max rank in Halo 5 will be something that can also be earned through gameplay in Infinite.
There is 0% chance that we’ll have to wait until E3 for ANYTHING Infinite related.
I’m expecting that’s when 343 will present the campaign gameplay reveal.
Before then, it’s almost guaranteed that the multiplayer flights will start at some point because if 343 waited until after E3, it would be too close to release to substantively incorporate player feedback.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if there was an Infinite cover story leading up to E3 in one of the main gaming periodicals.
We will most likely see the beginning of their marketing campaign long before E3. I’d expect it another three months from now but that’s just my guess.

I think it was max rank in halo 5 because you tubers have been saying that in halo 5 but who knows, it’s still a rumor

People should play games because they enjoy playing them - not because there’s some cosmetic tchotchke at the end of the grind. Unlocks and rewards should just be garnish for the meat and potatoes. Something happened in the last decade, and gamers now seem to see the visual fluff as the entire point of playing games, not playing itself. A far cry from the Unreal Tournament and Q3A days.
Anyway, regarding E3, I expect Microsoft’s conference to lead off with Halo Infinite - with a long section of campaign gameplay, followed by someone like Bonnie Ross coming out to talk at length about specifics, followed potentially by some focus on multiplayer. I also expect them to announce that Infinite’s multiplayer will be integrated into the Master Chief Collection from day one, continuing their quest to seemingly consolidate all Halo players onto a common platform.
I don’t think E3 will be the next time we hear ANYTHING about the game. I suspect we’ll get some info releases here and there between now and E3. I do expect E3 will be the first time we actually see gameplay of any kind, however.

It’s also that many people have been burned out of Halo 5’s multiplayer after four years of it. I’ve taken some long breaks when other games popped up that I really wanted to play. I’d recently come back and have mostly been playing to catch up on lost time and try and burn away that 10 million EXP I had left. At 5.8 right now, and am mostly sticking to Husky Raid, Castle Wars, and Firefight. When I hit 152 I’ll probably drop it again until Infinite or if that ‘itch’ comes up. So the reward isn’t the “point” of playing Halo right now, at least not for me, but an incentive to come back to a game you’re burned out of.
I genuinely can not see Infinite being added into the MCC. Halo 5’s not even in it, and the MCC’s struggling to maintain the games it’s currently got running inside it as it is. I just can’t see them adding in another large game and another likely incompatible engine to it in its current state.
I’m hoping they announce another novel releasing before E3 in the timeline between 5 and Infinite. That should tide over some fans and also drum up hype for what’s to come.
We need a trailer/spot for the Super Bowl, the hype is real.

That would be unreal…but I’m not sure it would hit the target demographic effectively to warrant 5 million for 30 seconds.

I’m with you on this. I would be shocked if the flighting program was not already well under way before E3. If 343 waits until E3 to start flights, I doubt they would have time to really gain much from them

I’m getting closer to SR152 - averaging 600,000+ XP per day.
