So I’m unsure if it was 2 or 3 weeks ago now that I finished the battle pass and without it, I will only show up for events.
After playing the game without the battlepass and any progression I really struggle to enjoy this Halo. There’s nothing to aim for. The ultimate challenges are less than sub-par, The events need me to play one game and after that I just bounce off. We need a better progression system/Battle pass. You’re stretching this out for 6 months but give us less than a months worth of content. I know people ripped into Halo 5 but the MP was actually a lot of fun in my mind and again it had a lot of content. I could always find something to do. But this Halo I’m really struggling to find anything that’s enjoyable. The huge desync issues, Non optional crossplay meaning ranked is a hacker-fest (I have video evidence before people try and say salty), No earnable armour unlocks outside of events, £5 for the colour red (so salty about this), I can go on forever about all the issues. The campaign in itself was pretty bad honestly. Yes it was a good Halo Campaign but the actual story telling was meh and without Co-op at launch I have really got no reason to replay it.
This game needs patches, Anti-Cheat (No F2P should be allowed to launch without Anti-Cheat.) and most of all. It needs Content.
Oh you got it fella. Just be an absolute sucker and spend $20 on nail polish and you can get yourself an entire skin. FOR FREE. Free content bro. Santa came early. Get your nails painted.
Honestly I think the first battle pass is 6 months because the game probably came out 2-3 months earlier than it should have and that’s their way of stretching things out to buy more time.
Part of me realizes that the early progression system was a massive slog just trying to level up and attain progression, but part of me also realizes that it was probably done that way so players would blaze through the BP as we’re seeing them do now.
I starting to think the 1000xp cap needs to be expanded by 100xp every ten levels or so.
No game should be launching without anti-cheat no matter what monetization method is used. The cheat/hack industry is worth tens of millions if not hundreds of millions, they don’t care how accessible the game is.
Patches and content yes, but the patches will do a lot to make this game far more sustainable. Content will be here eventually, but I’d rather have a stable experience first.
