I was playing Halo Warzone Firefight as normal today, when i finished the game it said I had 6 req packs to open. When i went to reqs I had 6 golden req packs I didn’t pay for. Can anyone shed any light on this? I don’t know what i could have possible done in game to get 6 golden req packs for it. Can other players buy you req packs? I am not complaining I just don’t understand why it happened. I am level 60-odd.

Level 5 WZFF win commendation awards 5 packs and a 6th from getting the final 60 wins, i got mine the other week was a nice boost to finishing all reqs as i had finished silvers 
enjoy them, or try and resist opening them until you finish all common/rare (silver) unlocks to guarantee some goodies!
Warzone Firefight Commendations have Gold Packs as rewards for completion.

Too late i opened them all, but I already have a good selection of stuff. I have certs for almost every single warthog and scorpion there is in the game, ghosts too, i have them all except the temple gold one. Wraiths are similar, the only things i am lacking really is the level 1 gunless Warthog, I would like a cert for that, and I have never ever had a phaeton, not one, let alone the cert. From the 6 golden reqs, the best I got was a cert for Wraith ultra & also Banshee ultra and a bunch of them, but i got loads of Sporpions and stuff. A legendary Hannibal mantis which i’ve never had before. Good times! My faves are Warhogs by far, then ghosts, then scorpions, so i always hope for good varieties of those above all else.

You should have waited until the update, and got all the new stuff!!!

I believe it’s the other way around. 1 pack from 60 wins and 5 from completing mastery.

Not bad at all!
I’ve just got certs for INO scorp, Hannibal scorps and hannible mantis and my god, i am in love with the hannibal scorp, the sound effects of firing and charging are just toooo good!
Last vehicle for me to unlock is pheaton helios
1 req from 60 wins and 5 from mastery, does that mean that’s it now for free gold req paqs then? I saved up quite a few of my fave vehicles, and power-weapons I have in spades. I like running people over, I don’t use many req-weapons, unless i run low on my fave vehicles.
Someday I will get a phaton to play with with, I hate fighting them. They are just too good, someday i will get one!

Have a look through the Commendation section. The rewards are listed underneath them
Also after i think your forst 10 wins you get 5 packs the 6th was probably form one of your WZFF comendations
