Why would we need Phd arguments to explain why trueskills2 dropped my hidden MMR from high diamonds to gold 2/3 while everybody knows if I take my smurf there is no problem. Whe should start asking ourselves how this system really works and if 343 employess have power to manually troll players by lowering hidden MMR
This is how the game rewards me for my efforts: breaking my confidence at all coast. They try for realā¦ any 300 games lil diamonds would be better than me if I would listen to people forgetting the fact if I take a smurf account there is no problem.
I wouldnāt put too much time trying to interpret minor variances in my text. Itās an internet forum, not a legal document of discovery. 
Your ranking journey depends on winning and losing.
Personal performance helps push you up that ladder. A high k/min suggests to the system that you are ranked too low and that you should be pushed up.
But I donāt think you can think of it as a metric to grind. You can manipulate your K/D or K-D. But your k/min is more a reflection of relative skill. A bunch of players at the same ranking will produce similar values.
When Menke was saying your k/min vs Onyx players wasnāt good - itās kind of implied that you are not at their level. You need to get better, and then your k/min will come up to match.
Itās not a metric that you can go out there and āgrindā to trick the system.
Would be an interesting experiment. Take four brand new accounts and rank them up together. Three players going hell for leather, and one hiding in the corner.
From what Iāve read over the years, and the way it was explained, I wouldnāt think the difference in ranking would be huge.
But would be interesting to find out.

Itās unusual. But keep in mind two games were quitter affected.
And being āfirstā doesnāt matter.
There is very little correlation to CSR change per game and āpersonal performanceā.
A couple of games in a gold-ish lobby does not mean your MMR is now Gold. Itās much more likely you just caught match-making and the server population at a bad time.
Cool. But just remember that the only thing that matters for rank is beating teams with a higher rank and, to a lesser extent, a solid k/min vs those players.
You keep coming back to this on the back of TWO games.
Over the course of seven evenly matched games (albeit at different average team MMRs) - you ended up with -3 CSR. And two of those games were affected by opponent quits.
I get that you are frustrated. But just grab your friends, get back online, and rank up (if thatās what you feel you deserve). This should just be a minor step on the way.

For me : switching acccount means I will lose all the stuff I bought on my main account. If the game keeps dropping my hidden MMR for no reasons. It would mean I spent a lot of money for nothing. Yes Im angry because I may have lost 3 month of my life + lot of money + 343 employees lack of respect. Imagine.
Its alright bro lol. Yea tho I was speaking in general. Everyone has a peak, the game tries to find that and when it does the point I was trying to make is that it creates kind of like a soft cap on a players gains where you gain hardly anything for wins and keep facing people not high enough to rank up, but 1 unlucky match and you lose whatever your last few wins amounted to because the systems trying to prevent what it thinks is csr inflation.
The system far from perfect man, but it does some things right im sure. Hopefully your mmr gets normalized bro good luck

Keep going. Just got to Diamond 3. Are you marking, doing damage every time you see a foe, and getting assists as well? If your damage is below 4k on average, youāre not doing enough at your rank to progress.

I played two games today and it seems it is working normally. I earned points for a victory ( I played very bad lol ) and lost point for a loss ( and I played very bad as well ) anyway. Idk if it was just something like Ā« regulation Ā» or maybe because I sent ticket and post a thread lol. Anyway Im happy it is working again

I played on my smurf and almost made it d3 today, I just need 1 or two wins i ended my session with solo duo w/ friend on my main annnnndd 2 games against gold. The second one against a booster/smurf acount. No points earned for both wins. Iāll let yāall know tommorow if im just parano or of its the same issue but with solo duo. Also I played two games crossplay. Won one and lost one. No points earned for the victory I made. Meanwhile. I had a very good session w/ my smurf account without problemā¦. Idk what to think
Itās not really a Smurf account if you are playing hard to rank up!
You are going to burn out with stress if you keep switching back and forth and micro-analysing the match-maker. Both accounts will have different shaped MMR curves and will attract different matches. Both will have some bad match ups.
No system is THAT perfect. You have to look at the trend over a series of matches.
If your alt account has fewer games it will have a more volatile MMR. It may jump up if you have a good run - but it will also be prone to crashes if you have a bad run of form (or luck).
Just go back to your main account and work hard at getting that one where you want to it to be. Save your alt account for practice or experimenting with tactics.

You had a post up afew weeks ago detailing all the things you were doing to understand what determines growth/ loss.
Did you come to the conclusion the whole system is a complete mess and no amount of observation over any time frame will make sense of it?
Did you check out the youtube video I made where it shows de-ranking for wins and positive kdās in objective games?

It went well. It pretty much showed CSR changes have nothing to do with personal performance.
But I guess we knew that.
How much kpm affects MMR is much harder too establish.
Iāve come to conclusion that a certain segment of the community still donāt understand it.
