Went to play some mcc today and I get smacked with a 60 gb update. I was just playing reach 2 days ago, is it reinstalling the entire game? This is crazy…
Same thing just happened to me, not sure what would require a 58 gb update on the xbox unless you are adding some serious features noone knows about?
Just got the same update. Nearly 60gb. I was looking forward to playing some odst today too. Damn.

This makes no sense. There is no post about it or anything. You would think with an update this size the would be some information regarding it.

Are u serious??? A 58Gb update for a toggle between original CE music to The remastered one,58GB!!! That’s ridiculous I’d expect it to be 1.8gb not 58…Was going to hop onto halo mcc but I guess I gotta wait for this now.

It seems this game’s updates are broken because when they release updates it downloads the whole game again. Done some searching and it has been doing this for years.
Nearly 60GB for an update is not viable at all. That’s what - two thirds of the entire collection? Great way to ruin peoples plans to actually play the game if they already have it installed.This is destroying both the franchise and Xbox as a brand if you ask me. Last summer MCC was a blast and ran beautifully on X1X in all the campaigns, but now it’s in the gutter performance wise and it only makes me turn the system off. What good is the game and system if you’re always greeted with issues like these?

The game is already 110gb , how much more do you need to keep these freaking updates !! This is really turning me off on play halo anymore !!
Unfortunately sometimes that’s how these updates need to be. In order to fix legacy issues / bugs a lot of files will need to be modified, replaced or added which means that that resulting update can be quite large.
What might not be obvious to some though is that your game generally won’t become that much larger with these updates, as you’re not adding that entire size to your installation. Patches generally replace chunks of data - sometimes your file size may go down, generally it will go up but not by a lot.
