I am sure I will get shellacked for this. I have been playing PC games since for ever. I have purchased Halo Infinite and I am getting smoked at every turn in the game. Yes, I have it on the lowest setting…“normal” but I cant get very far before I get blasted, time after time. Yep, Im an old guy but its seems like a waste of money for me since I cannot even get very far after respawn, after respawn. Seems too difficult, even on the lowest setting. my reactions are not that of a 18yr old, however I still like to enjoy many of the same things. My question, why did the developers makes it so difficult that the game cannot be enjoyed by most of us? So what if a 57yr old guy with bad eye sight needs “easy mode?” You will all eventually get here if you are lucky enough.
Yep, its a rant. Sucks to be me…but it shouldnt have too with everyone else my age or older who wwant to enjoy this game.
Its an escape for all of us! Right now…its so far away…its an illusion. My opinion.
Would be nice to actually enjoy such nice graphics and coding.

To be precise, sadly I am in single player mode. i would never stand a chance in multi.
I have many games that do have an easy mode and they are enjoyable.
Welp, looks like I complained too early. i am happily blasting my way to Nirvanah.

Glad to hear it’s going better. Maybe just a little bit of a learning curve with some of the new weapons. A few quick tips that might help:

Coils (exploding barrel things) are pretty useful, especially early game before you have access to better weapons. You can pick them up manually or use the grapple shot on them to carry it and throw.

Make sure to use your equipment. Grappleshot is great for covering distances to get yourself back in cover if you’re in trouble.

Try to find a few Spartan Cores that let you upgrade yourself. I’d recommend the first two upgrades for the grappleshot as soon as you can because it will allow you to stun enemies you hit and reduce the cooldown. After that I’d max your shields.

Would like to get a better graphics card setup. Alas, trying to find a needle in a haystack. Support for this title is outstanding.

ok, now I.m complaining for sure! WTheck? I have slaughtered, and maneuvered and shot my way out and sniped all of the towers and then get smoked at the very end. Then get respawed in a loop (4hrs of trying) from a boss that constanlly smokes me? Over and over again…
This is not what I payed for…to get smoked over and ever again by a AI algorithm.
Too hard…its on normal.
Yep… just would like to enjoy a game. I do like eye candy but for reals.

It is nice - although you can probably save money and drop SLI, game developers don’t (rarely) utilise it anymore, unless you have need for additional graphics power outside of gaming

I respect your passion and all i can say right now is I hope they would make it much more enjoyable from everyone no matter the age on Halo Campaign. Im not sure about Multiplayer but its fun if you are playing with friends. As Master Chief once said “We Will Make It”. thats all i can say

I’m confused… are you not aware of the “easy” setting? Why are you playing on normal? My son plays on easy, why aren’t you?

Tempted to use a cheat, just to get past this boss. But from what I read online I will get insta banned from this very nice game. Actually, the best game in the last 12 months.
Yes, I did with your help discover the “easy” setting. It allowed me to get past the incredible boss. Dont know why I did not see that earlier? Thank you for your input and help. 57yr old dude is grateful…

Im 24 and been loving Halo Wars 1 and 2 on easy. Im passed the days of achievement hunting and even more past punishing myself for 10 gamerscore. The second im not having fun that difficulty drops and I love that I can do so and still enjoy the game. No shame in what you do, finish the fight at your own pace spartan!

eh different difficulties exist because people play at different skill levels.
