52,000 Players On Halo 3!!!

This is crazy!
I was on halo 3 on Xbox 360 and it had 52,000 players
And I was finding games really fast…EVEN finding games faster than halo 5
Like really?.. 10 year old has a more stable multiplayer then a 11 month old game
Oh and 343 put a player count on halo 5 or are you to scared?.. Scared of a 10 year old game? XD

Edit: I made this post to find out if others sore this high population
-I’m aware that it could be broken
-no there’s no hate "bandwagon " I’ve had some good times in halo 5 (but halo 3 is better)
-and yes halo titles need a population count I want to know if game modes like breakout are dead, so I don’t waste my time trying to find a game etc
-and oh bring on HALO 3 ANNIVERSARY!!!

Just a little while ago it was at zero players, and some time before that it was a 48,000. It’s clearly not working right.

This bandwagon against Halo 5 is just downright embarrassing.

There was 47000 earlier today! It’s really nice. Wierd how a nine year old game finds online matches after than a 10 month old one.

U serious right now?

Time to dust off the ol 360

Looks like it hit 63,000 at one point. (pic courtesy of i01 lead Bean who has a massive -Yoink!- for anything and everything Halo 3).

Bandwagon? Or sick of half finished and broken games
11 months still no oddball, King of the kill, race these modes were minimum in previous titles
so what if it’s not working correctly I was finding games quicker on halo 3
Because finding games on balanced on oceanic servers is down right impossible

No, bandwagon.

Like when Halo Reach’s population counter disappeared, and people wanted 343i’s heads on a pike because they assumed they were hiding Reach numbers to save face from Halo 5, when it was a glitch and they fixed it less than a week later.

Or when Xbox Live’s top played list was broken, and MCC was doing better than Halo 5 and assuming it truly failed, and people called for their heads on a pike again…despite Call of Duty Ghosts being #1 at the time and Overwatch not even in the Top 50 and Rainbow Six Siege not being in the top 20…

Or like your first comment, where you assume 343i is too scared to throw out population numbers, when a lot of games don’t do that. Overwatch for example, but I guess they’re scared of showing as well.

So again, bandwagon.

There are a lot of 360’s out there. Folks that have not purchase one’s and want to get their halo on. Not surprised.

Oh ok I don’t know what overwatch, call of duty and buggy Xbox live store have got to do with halo
anyway moving on
remember halo 4 it had a player count, and remember people were making graphs showing the drop in population
It added fuel to the fire of halo 4 being a laughing stock
Microsoft/343i know player counts are damaging halo reputation so removing them from future was the only way to stop this happening again
and this bandwagon i didn’t say I hated halo 5 did I? NO
Ive actually invested some time in halo 5 I’m SR 146
Its an ok game buts it’s not a good halo game

Exactly
these people (not all!) probably just buy xboxs to play halo
and hearing the disappointments like MCC and halo 5
these people who buy xboxs for halo rather pass on Xbox one and stick with reach or h3

Someones probably doing a repopulate halo 3 type of thing, I know Gamecheat13 did one a week or so ago. To bad one of my cords are missing I would love to join T_T

The fact that everyone wold jump for a chance to bash on Halo 5, even when it has little to do with Halo 5.

Yes Halo 4 had a player count that was accurately recorded, and you know why the game failed as hard as it did.

And like I said before, not every game keeps in a population counter. Blizzard didn’t skip a beat when talking about its success and sales, but there’s no population counter.

I didn’t say Halo 5 was a great game with no flaws or anything.

The point is, how do we know that Halo 3’s player count isn’t broken like Halo Reach’s was? Especially when as recent as 2 months ago, people were reporting populations between 600 and 2,000 players, and sudden jumps to 50,000 and 60,000?

Yes I think pervious halo do play a role with halo 5
343 should know what makes and perfect halo and 343 should be going back to the roots of halo,
that’s what brought millions of players … A unique FPS no sprint or ads etc
And a terrible generic story, half finished game at launch and the FALSE FALSE ADVERTISING!
halo 5 was a disappointment
and people have ever right to hate and bash 343,
THEY LIED TO US

While I’m resisting the urge to talk about Halo CE taking elements from other arena shooters and Halo 2 also having false advertising because that’s off topic to this thread…

Or they just can’t justify buying an entirely new console just for one game. I know I almost didn’t get an Xbox One for that reason.

Race was not in Halo 2 or 3.

Ok now thats strait up not true, I find games on focused all the time.

Should probably let 'em know that a handful of newer Halo games have been released. They’re missing out

Fair enough
i made this post to find out if others sore this
and even if it is broken…I was shocked on how high it was
I didn’t know this would make a big song and dance… But I guess drama comes easy in this community
imo I do think future halo titles need a player count, so we know what game modes are popular instead of sitting in a lobby waiting for 10 minutes wasting our time
do I hate 343i… NO! I see potential
do I think they go backwards every new title… YES!
“1 step forward, 10 steps backwards”

That must show something to 343.

No I think it’s 343 testing the servers durability for H3A  but if this is real holy -Yoink-
