50xp per game, really?

Higher incentive to buy boosts. Why do you think the boost was increased up to an hour whilst total xp earned was reduced?

I think it’s time to relax bud. 50xp per match plus challenge XP. You only need to play a maximum of 20 matches per BP level. It’s not that bad.

Realistically nothing has changed.
I just want XP for my performance and medals man, idk why that is too much to ask

I saw that! Six months per season seems long and it all looks really good but this will be the 3rd time I’ve unlocked these same items Reach, MCC, now infinite. And i love vrgl but why him instead of dot? I don’t hate this system but it is grindy

I think on 6 games alone today i gained nearly 3 whole levels. Yeah we gt only 50 per match but i got to the point where i had to play 5 games to gain just 100xp. Ill hapily take a guaranteed 50 every gane flet out.

Im sure over time they will continue adding ways to gain xp given how fast theu were to adjust this! I expect a week or 2 until it changed, not several days

Yes, but keep in mind that’s only if you complete 0 challenges along the way. Many of the challenges are worth 200+ so you will naturally progress much quicker.

With that said it would be nice to get an extra 50xp or maybe 100xp if you win.

Yeah, personally my issue is less with the amount more with the type of challenges. Anything that makes people play different is pretty hard to defend in my opinion.

Only 20… you say that as if it’s okay. Christ, not everyone wants to live in the damn game like you just to get something complete.

They’re never going to find a balance in this war between the new younger players that have been trained to accept this patchy mess and the adults that grew up knowing what a quality game right out of the gate was. This mess that currently represents Halo may look like a quality game on the surface but is significantly worse to those who can see beyond the shiny veneer that is put over it.

The financial people care way too much for the younger generation that it just feels like disrespect towards the veteran players that developed the community over the last 20 years.

I agree 50 is a little low. 100 would still be half or more than half of what other challenges reward which would keep it from being too fast, but still satisfying to continue earning after you’ve dried out your weekly challenges.

75 or 100 xp would feel better however the challenges are much better now. I can live with this for until a thought out change occurs.

Jesus Christ, 20 matches per BP level is not cool. I can level a Call of Duty battle pass (you know, from Greedyvision?) in 3-4 matches. And I don’t have to do any challenges, just play whatever mode I want, how I want, whenever I want.

“we heard you are having a really hard time progressing through the battlepass, so we’ve reduced the per match xp to 50, you are welcome!”

I don’t see the issue. I’ve leveled up 5 times in just three hours. This is great.

Because of weeklies. Once those easy ones are gone it’s gonna take even longer than before. You have to look beyond the first day or two to see how bad this system is.

You are now out of weeklies and will need 20 matches for each level. Have fun!

To those that think 20 matches per BP level is too much, what would you consider an acceptable number? 5? 10?

It’s still early of course but I have played about 30 matches and I’m at level 3 of my BP. So with the current settings I’m averaging one level every 10 games.

Most people only have at most an hour or so to play a day. Many people, especially new parents can only have enough free time for 1 or 2 matches a night. Very few people are pulling 20+ matches a day and even fewer are pulling that many every single day, id bet with current rates most players will never finish a single pass.

Seriously, 20 matches per level means if you only rely on dailies it would take 2,000 matches to finish a single battle pass. Most matches i have played in a single halo game was halo 2 3,008 matches and that was when i was a kid who could play for like 6 hours a day after school and all day during the weekends.

Adults have jobs, they have families, they have other things they have to do and even more they have other games they want to be able to play. Nobody wants to be playing nothing but a single game every free second they have every single day of every single week of every single month.

It should be balanced around someone who can play 5 or so hours a week. If people beat it faster than that good for them, just it shouldn’t be balanced around the minority with no life and no other interests.

I just don’t understand the fascination with people nowadys where you don’t deserve anything ingame unless you give it your life body and soul.

10 would be so much better than the current 20. 20 is just insulting tbh. Now to answer your question: I think we need to look at other games with similar battle passes. In most others it seems most people can level up on average about every 5 games. Would that be too fast for this game though? Honestly we don’t know. All we know is that the current system is far too slow and not sustainable at all. So for now I’m gonna push for a MINIMUM of 100xp per match. Though 150xp wouldn’t be bad either.
