I’m honestly wondering what is the point of a 50 making an alt account just to destroy lower levels.
What does it prove? And why do they do it? Also why do they feel the need to t-bag all these lower levels?
There is no honor in beating the weak so why do they treat it like it’s some accomplishment that they can beat people who are weaker in skill level to them?

What exactly does destroying lower levels accomplish though?

Like I said, most don’t do it to ‘destroy’ lower levels, they do it to get back up to 50.
For me it is to “start over” I have my 5 star General account and my 2 Star that is almost 3. And the whole beating lower levels thing is silly. I can go in with my 5 star account and beat low levels in social slayer and BTB all day if I wanted too. The rank doesn’t really matter in there, it just happens regardless. Sure when I play ranked I will be put against players my skill level but social is different the way the system works.
I like competitive games by far. Beating on the noobs is messed up, I agree. But the way I see it, its not my fault that they so happen to be in my way of achieving a 50 in a certain playlist.
Look in the bright side, the faster I level up, the less pwning the noobs have to deal with. Unfortunately leveling up takes a long while. Meaning…I’m sorry but you might have to deal with it.
Hey you can always just train to get better. Even if it means changing your gameplay, kicking old habits, and learning new things. It was awkaward for me at first but a intense halo training session for me in 1 week took me from a 37 grade 2 commander to a 50 within days after. So just relearn to play the game… but correctly.

For many the road to 50 is 90% of the fun
For others its playing on that 50
Also they might be selling it or trading it for something

Not totally true
Many people make new accounts in social as well as Ranked in Halo 3
& in Halo Reach people make new accounts just to start over its the road to ___ Rank __ thats part of the fun…
I’ve had a couple of new accounts over time just for fun, as others have said most people don’t like playing low level, I certainly don’t, if there was an option to go straight in at say 45 that would be fine by me. But I have to say in my opinion new accounts 50’s are never as fun as the first.
Playing at level 50 just slowly gaining exp gets old after a while. It starts to feel like a harder version of social slayer - you stop calling out and don’t even care that much whether you lose or not. You know you’re probably not going to lose the 50 and even if you somehow do you can just win a few games and get it back anyway.
Making a new account gives you a reason to care again, and gives you a few laughs along the way as you encounter all sorts of terrible players and (unfairly) carry them to victories and ranks they thoroughly didn’t deserve.
It’s a lot more fun playing 45->50 than it is gaining 10 exp on your 50. People will join in with the spirit of your quest, wait to see if you level up in the lobby, stop deranking to help you out etc. Of course in the long run the satisfaction of knowing you played on your 50 and held your ground is much greater.
I have friends with multiple accounts at 50 but who couldn’t (or weren’t willing to risk trying to) handle the game beyond that point - people who get nervous playing games where the lobby is all 50s or at the idea of playing ranked playlists. Knowing that that doesn’t faze me, and that I no longer think anything of playing against a team of 50s is satisfying. It makes me feel like I’ve fully graduated from Halo 3. So making multiple accounts is fun, but in the long run it’s nothing compared to actually playing on a 50 you’ve made.
Watching commanders, and colonels trying to get their 50’s is pretty funny. Playing on a 50 playlist, you have to put in effort to win. While when you make a new account, you can mess around all game, do new stupid things, and still win.
You can also laugh at people who are getting boosted to 50 yet still can’t get their 50.
Rule #1: Don’t try hard
Rule #2: Laugh at those who do try hard
> ^Pretty much that.

heck yeah. Also if you get crappy matches like derankers and quitters on your team it’s like oh well who cares, I’ll just play another match I’m not losing anything. I made a new account which I said to myself “I’ll just muck around for kicks, it’ll probably get to 45” … it’s at 49 right now. I’ve been playing purposefully wreckless too lol
I’d like to add if you make a funny gt / theme for you alt it gives you that extra incentive to rank up. Having an account on the verge of a 50 with a funny name people talk about every pregame lobby is hilarious. People are like “WUUUUT IS THIS”
A lot of people don’t do it to crush lower levels.
Sometimes you get a new Xbox and have free accounts to make.
Sometimes you want to help a friend who is ranked lower.
Sometimes you can’t find matches in certain playlists (I’m looking at you, Snipers and SWAT) at your rank.
Sometimes you just don’t care at all.
I played on a few of my 50s but I was never one of the super serious kids. I didn’t have a team really, and I just didn’t ever find it fun searching alone and playing on a team with no mics. My only teammate and I would continually go into Doubles on throwaway accounts simply because we got the most games in the little time we had to play. Whether those accounts got to 50 or not before they expired did not matter.
At the end of the day, I think there are some people who do it for the thrill of rising 1-50 all over again, there are the people who actually enjoy crushing lesser-skilled gamers, and there are those who don’t care at all either way.
Myself and my friend made new accounts yesterday even though my friend is already 50 in all ranked lists as well as being a 5 Star General and i have 50s in TS, TD, Snipers and MLG it does get a little boring after a while, our 50s are essentially ‘rank-locked’ since we have played on them quite a lot, too much in fact! (i <3 Halo 3) and so getting exp alone is getting boring, the games are competitive but since most of the people we play are more or less ‘rank-locked’ themselves, winning/ losing doesn’t give me the same high as it used to.
While last night and earlier this evening we have mostly been in Team slayer and have not lost a legit game yet (2 losses due to derankers, surprised they still exist with Halo 4 on the horizon…) and between us we have averaged nearly 20 kills each with some stupidly unfair end results (50-8 and that was a 4v4) we both admit that while we are crushing lower ranks with hardly any effort it really isnt fun until we get to the 40+ range.
Personally i’d love to avoid playing against the lower ranks as for me if it isnt a fair challenge then it is boring and on top of that im essentially reducing the persons i match up against’s enjoyment of the game.
But really doing 1-50 over and over again is really fun for some people, i personally love it, it’s too addictive (i have 24 accounts for Halo 3 now >.> )i would not say all 50s make new accounts solely to destroy lower ranks, some may but personally i think, like myself, they too enjoy doing 1-50 all over again, well except for the ones getting boosted of course
I suggest you avoid any players you believe to be too good for the current skill bracket you are in and hope for fair sided matches more often.
Finally if you have run into NolansRoadToH4 / RaritysRoadToH4 tonight in Team Slayer and were on the opposite team then i apologise! but on a serious note i would like to say that anyone has the potential to be good at Halo if you put the effort in and allow yourself to learn some new things then soon yourself will be destroying these new account 50s
