500GB vs 1TB Xbox One?

I just introduced myself in the Roll Call and was encouraged to keep on gaming by moving up to Xbox One and finally getting Halo 5.

So next question is, what size hard drive should I get if I’m only going to play these games, nothing else, in order of preference:
Halo 5
NHL16
Gears of War
Forza
Maybe the Tom Clancy game

again, nothing else, these are the only games I ever play, maybe the top 3 at most.

Will a 500GB XB1 be sufficient or should I go straight to a 1TB drive? I don’t know if I should spend the extra money.

And is the Master Chief collection XB1 still available? I only see the H5 special console.

Before I got my xbox I would have said 500GB would be plenty, but as I have purchased the 500GB and already run out of space in a month I would say get the 1TB. I didn’t expect to get many games either but it adds up fast, and its never bad to have extra space.

It’s a little more expensive, but the 1TB console is worth it. Even as a casual player, you’ll burn through hard drive space pretty quickly.

Whatever console you choose OP, I’d also have a search around for an external hard drive to go alongside it. Game install sizes and DLC are pretty huge these days, so it may be worth having some extra storage just in case. If you’ve got a fairly fast connection and no data limits you could probably skip the external and just download whenever you need to, but comes in handy if you’re ever going to a friends house

These guys have the right ideas.

500 was plenty for me, but can’t go wrong with being safe and having extra storage! But if I ever got to much I would usually only play 1-2 games all the time so never need the full 1.

You can find 2T to 3T bytes of storage with seagate for 100 to 120 on Amazon. Sometime cheaper. I believe externals work better because you can move you data. Just an idea.

Go for the 1TB unit. You’ll need it!

This is what I would recommend as well.

I have the 500 GB xbox and regardless I had to purchase a 1.5 TB external hard drive to keep all my games stored.

Buddy, please don’t mind I don’t prefer Xbox for gaming. I am an avid gamer, and recently I build a pc for gaming, and I used Samsung 850 EVO 1TB because read-write speed is stellar and it comes with a decent warranty. So if anyone also doesn’t prefer Xbox and want SSD for gaming, than you can visit: ReviewsDir

Please don’t bump old threads, especially not with attempted links to off-site places.

Thanks.
