1/16/2013, around 10:00 or later Eastern Time (US & Canada), located in Baltimore region of Maryland, I experience a “500 Internal Server Error” when attempting to view “My Topics” or “Active Topics”.
I would like to see 343i take appropriate action to fix this so I can more effectively support them.
I have a workaround right now, and it will hold, and I can wait, as long as this pathway doesn’t fail either.
- select “My Profile”
- select “View Profile”
- proceed through “Last 10 Posts”
We just pushed out a fix for this issue, so you should no longer see the error. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.
With the problem resolved, I would like a question.
I have read forums about the “File Search” issue. Someone has posted that it won’t be up even this month.
Is there a definite release date or is it a continuing work with no planned finish?
Edit: Just got the message on forum “Where Is Halo 4’s File Share Functionality?”.
This error means there is a problem on the server side. A Server Error can be caused by any number of things from uploading the incorrect file to as bug in a piece of code. This error response is a generic “catch-all” response. The web server is telling you that something went wrong, but it’s not sure exactly what that is. If you have root access, you should review your web server’s error logs to get more information about this. If you are using shared hosting plan, you should contact your host to get more information. The best way to debug the error depends upon the server and what’s actually running at the time. Consider some debugging tips to help diagnose and fix common causes of this problem.
