I been playing some Reach lately, but when I play a game of Gruntpocalypse, I only get 50 credits. I am connected to Xbox Live, and can’t seem to find a reason for the low credit count.
Any ideas?

I’m going through the main menu, so NOT selecting “Matchmaking.” I thought as long as I was connected to Xbox Live I was good to go. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that there’s a way to specifically pick Gruntpocalypse in Firefight and I need to pick that?
it has to be matchmaking, looks to me you re playing a custom game

I think you need to play firefight in matchmaking and vote for Gruntpocalypse to get the credits you want.

Don’t select firefight from the main menu because that will start a custom game. Go to matchmaking, select a playlist, browse to cooperative and pick score attack. The map selection and gametype will be random so keep picking none of the above until you find gruntpocalypse on a suitable map. The game will eventually force you to play a game but you can quit without the threat of a banhammer in this playlist.

I highly doubt this fact when I got a credit ban for ending a game by wasting all lives, several times and without killing anyone each time.

You weren’t punished for quitting. You technically completed every game by running out of lives but you triggered a different sort of ban hammer (idling) by completing consecutive games in matchmaking without a kill.

I know but I wouldn’t try to end a game the other way if you take a ban even if you move to get yourself killed.

It sounds like I need to select Matchmaking at the menu and go into Gruntpocalypse from there. Is there a way to specifically get that gametype every time or is it more of a dice roll?

gruntpocalypse should appear as a voting option 
if you dont see it at first vote none of the above
