Camping is a legitimate strategy because you can counter camping as easy as getting beaten by a camper.

don’t always attack immediately. In high traffic areas or when facing a team, sometimes it’s better to wait for someone to pass by you and then attack because they’ll have even less reaction time than you coming at them head on. It’s better to wait in case 2 players pass by you so you can prepare yourself against 2 people rather than taking the 1st one down and getting beat by their teammate.

rotate your camping in relation to your team. If you camp, and your team is too far away from you, odds are you’ll get outnumbered, which leads to a trade off if you manage to get off a kill. Instead, camp in relation to your team so your team can back you up or you can watch their flanks.

sometimes it’s better to camp around a power weapon than picking it up. Since players will naturally rush a power weapon or power up, instead of picking it up, have that player attempt to get it and then attack before they can. You’re going to need to time this perfectly and have high damage weapons. If pulled off successfully, you get a point for the kill, and a power weapon.

the best camping spots are not always around the corner. I find the best camping spots are above traffic areas rather than around corners. Players with the high ground have a huge advantage since the person below has less time to react since they have to take the time to look up and aim. For example, on Plaza, I find it easier and more effective to camp around the sniper rifle on cinema loft than around the corner in cinema or on Empire, it’s better to camp around the OS in turbine (with a charged plasma pistol) than in the corner in Pit.

change your camping spot if you feel the other team is on to you. There’s no point in camping in the same spot if the other team knows about it and can simply grenade you out. no matter how good your spot is, change it up to keep the other team guessing. You don’t have to completely leave the area, maybe camp at a different angle or line-of-sight so the other team is thrown off.
Or you could just not. Probably a better method.

Up to you, It just isn’t something I’d do. Slowing down game play doesn’t really entertain me, but I do enjoy double fragging and teabagging campers. I also refuse to play in way I consider ‘cheap’ and hiding in a corner with a shotgun is on that list. I normally find your lists and tips interesting as its a foreign perspective on the game.

So back on topic… Camping is a legitamate strategy but it’s a strategy that makes people butthurt af. If you’re camping, prepare yourself for a post match flame message. I usually only camp when I’ve been performing poorly in a match and don’t want to make my team suffer more because of it. So if you see me in a game and I have a negative kda I’m probably gonna start camping. If I have a positive kda, you better believe I’m sprinting around that corner ready to SC + br headshot some motha fuckas.

Oh I love beating campers and tea bagging them, I don’t condone or condemn camping, I just believe in “whatever gets the win” without cheating.
Do not mistake holding positions as “camping.” If a team develops a setup, it will almost surely involve plenty of movement and patrolling
