Any one else through all the stages like me yet?
I haven’t played in something like a month now, even deinstalled. I was furious, because this game had potential.
Now I can finally accept that all I have left of my favorite franchise is the MCC and good memories.
Halo, I am pressing F for you today.

I found a great video the other day on these forums that explains 343’s entire history. It was well worth the watch.

Halo will definitely turn my hair’s grey eventually. What games can be today are amazing, but far too often they just don’t pan out exactly how they’re suppose to be. Hopefully, the plans that 343 have in store here in the near future with the CSR rank reset, various game modes and Forge being added to the game that the game thrives. Watching HCS this past weekend was extremely exciting and fun. There is lots of hope and potential and it’s just over the horizon.
Agreed. A troubling future for the industry as a whole. Developers making false promises or outright lying and releasing a product that isn’t ready has become a standard. No accountability in the industry to help remedy this.
If this continues with games in the future, I hope the law can come into play (class action false advertisement lawsuits etc). Not that I want to be sue-happy but I believe the industry will need a correction in order to protect the satisfaction and expectations of the consumer.

Yup I’ve definitely come full circle. Haven’t played for weeks and just check these forums + reddit every few days to see if any major changes have been implemented & gauge player sentiment. Campaign was alright for a couple playthroughs but the multiplayer just got boring… quickly, and with several glaring issues along the way.
At this point, I’d be very happy to see the franchise get handed to someone else with a better track record on game releases. Haven’t really got any defence left in me for this company. Though if what you say is true about the industry… well I guess I’m out of the MP FPS market for the foreseeable future.

I am still playing it, but I am starting to look elsewhere. Probably AC Valhalla or Stellaris.
There just isn’t all that much to do and if there isn’t a decent weekly reward I won’t feel the need to grind for it like the flag emblem. I can only justify playing the same handful of maps for so long and especially not Arena.
Not sure where I am at with the campaign, the Halo 5 retcon and Cortana being dead. I’ve been wavering between denial and rage.

i went back to playing MW2019 about a month ago and haven’t played much infinite since, and while MW has a fair share of crashes it never does it during a match so IDC if it restarts itself while i’m in a menu

If you have no faith in something you don’t feel regret when it fails you.
i was hyped AF when Inf came out, but after the honeymoon phase was over (about 10 hours into the campaign on my first play through on day one) i realized this game was a barren wasteland and was not worth 6 years waiting for

Same here. I played campaign, it started to be a bore and I didn’t want to go back to multiplayer due to limited equipment
Same here. Stopped playing for awhile, jumped back on recently to again relive the issues of why I stopped playing.
Rather than hand it over to a new studio, I think management needs a shakeup. Having Staten onboard will help with the future of the game, one can only hope.
Halo needs its own Kevin Feige (MCU). All the Marvel movies aren’t perfect, but the stories, villains, and fan service have a lot of success with the audience, including myself.
I am not aware of the details because I don’t follow Destiny. Didn’t Joe Staten have an original outline for the Destiny campaign that got changed by Activision or something like that?
I wonder if he would end up bringing some of those ideas and plot beats into Halo?

Yea I agree. The fact there are no armor abilities and instead we got these borderline useless equipment gimmicks that usually just stop you from picking up OS (getting you killed) is inexcusable.

I know he left after Destiny 1 which was known for having a lackluster story. Again, this was a project under Activision so management could have derailed the game from its initial vision.
That game was subject to overpromise’s and under delivering. I remember one of the first videos showing off Destiny and it’s expansive levels. One dev pointed out a small mountain way in the distance and said “You can go there.” And sure enough, we couldn’t in fact go there once it was released.
