5 or Reach

I have been having long debates about whether Halo Reach or Halo 5 is a better game with friends and others online. With Halo Reach soon becoming reverse compatible it seems a lot of people are convinced that they’re going to play Halo Reach instead of Halo 5. What is your opinion on the matter?

Yes

First

5

armor lock alone kills reach, man that was bad

camo campers didn’t help either

shame maps on H5 have been so lackluster

Reach was a better casual game, 5 is definitely more competitive orientated. It’ll be fun to play custom games on reach again.

Both. There is no need to choose. I play them all. Yes, I still turn on my 360 and play Reach. Played 2 weeks ago. I also play the other games thru MCC. each of them offer something a little different than the others.

Reach if you wanted Halo backstory and real characters, 5 if ur new to the franchise and need a character with no backstory

i picked 5 and i’ve been here since CE, doesn’t matter if you’re “new” or not

Reach was the absolute WORST Halo. I’d rather play Hello Kitty Island Adventures than that phoned in of a job that Bungie did on Reach. Reach was obviously a game they used to test out the mechanics for their next game (Destiny) which I’m sure a lot of their staff was already working on at the time of Reach. Reach was so half -Yoinked!- that’s abundantly clear. In fact, Reach made me hate Bungie, it helped me to realize they weren’t about making fun experiences for gamers anymore but would rather cash in on their developer fame. Look at them now, case and point. The shooter mechanic of Destiny is still solid but as a gaming experience it is shallow and meaningless.

Yoink! BUNGIE and double Yoink Reach!

Halo 5, might go back to replay the Reach campaign, liked the levels and playing as my own Spartan.

Reach is the ultimate casual game in Halo history. Even Halo 4, which people disliked, was more balanced. Reach was nothing more than who could armor lock the fastest. The only redeeming feature about Reach was that it was a very content filled game compared to Halo 5. That hopefully will change though in the coming months.

Minecraft!!!

Lel how was Reach half - yoinked-? It has 10 times the content that H5 does. And even if you didn’t like armor abilities, you could turn them off and play classic slayer.

Reach had an amazing playlist lineup, BTB, and custom game community.

Halo 5 is just a better overall game, but lacking in a lot of the above mentioned.

H5 is the second best Halo title and I only say 2 because of content. H3 is my favorite but if you asked me at launch I would have put H3 at second also due to content. A matter they later resolved by means of DLC which I expect to be the same situation with H5. H5 has potential to be the best ever, just needs more of the RIGHT content.

Kind of of feel it’s unfair to judge the two at this time simce H5 isn’t complete yet in its offerings.

Halo 5 for the multiplayer and everything else. Maybe not reach… Idk i would play reach for the campaign and firefight if I got bored and need time to relax or for nostalgia. But would most likely go back to halo 5 LOL

But it didn’t have 10x the content at the start. You’re comparing a game just released to a game that had MONTHS of updates, adjustments, and DLC. That’s not fair.

Also, most those Reach maps were pulled out of the campaign and folks want to bash H5 for using Forge as a way to make maps? Come on, that’s not nearly as lazy as copy and pasting a map from the campaign and calling it a multiplayer map.

im sticking with halo 5, the game play as a whole is better, forge is going to be superior hell halo 4s forge was better then reach. I’m also excited to play as this game evolves.

Reach by far. One word…INVASION
