Pegasus (questionable spawn points, visually bland) - Coliseum (nice ideas, but ends up being a long range match, little use for a shotgun or CQC weapons) - Eden (a clone of the more superior Empire map) - Regret (too much focus on the fuel rod makes 75% of the map irrelevant) - Fathom (too…simple, i expected more from 343i) Please Stay
Plaza (a nice balance of open and enclosed spaces, the “death hallway” is intense and finding flank points is very rewarding) - Orion (enough power weapons (sniper, rail gun) and boosts (damage boost) to create enough chaos for nonstop action, although it has some poor spawns) - Empire (My favorite map, a CQC map with lots of sections to take advantage of, no one is really safe) - the Rig (a good asymmetrical map with a choke point that has multiple entrances) - Truth (a classic Mid Ship reboot, it simply feels “fair”, giving little to no advantage to either team at the start)
I’m sorry but Orion should never come back, it’s an extremely unbalanced map with two spots that are just way too easy to hold down. Not to mention the spawns in that map were way worse than pegasus. - Rig is a garbage map with cloak/shotgun dominating everything and one side of the map has a major advantage over the other. It is horribly unbalanced. The only good thing about it is it handles strongholds pretty well. - Coliseum plays CTF nicely, slayer is just so-so - Eden is a good map, no reason to take it out, especially since you said it’s similar to empire. It’s great for strongholds. - Regret played great with BR starts during beta and played strongholds wonderfully in beta as well. They should change the fuel rod to a plasma caster. The map is salvageable. - Plaza should only be used for slayer, it’s awful for everything else.
Orion looked and played awful (in my experience) - Plaza is decent but suffers from campers - Empire is quite fun - The Rig is good - Truth is also fun - Regret is fantastic other than the fuel rod. (Plasma caster would make sense here) - Fathom is simple yet decent - Eden is decent - Pegasus should never have been greenlit in the first place.

Orion was better than Pegasus IMO, I liked the long range duels on Orion. Regret sucks because the power weapon is no longer in the center of the map at the bottom. So it forces players to gravitate towards one side of the map. I think Regret played better in the beta, and the hydra where the overshield is was more fitting. I don’t have any issues with Fathom. It sounds like you guys want a lot of maps that all play similarly. What we have is a handful of maps that require different types of gameplay. Some benefit from using long range weapons, others do not. Plus Eden is more fun than empire imo, as the power weapon on empire is the worthless plasma caster that no one picks up. Same with Truth, smack dab in the middle of the map is the plasma caster…which should switch places with the energy sword. I didn’t even know where the sword pickup was located until playing the map 5 times.

I hate the Plasma Caster because it is niche and I suck at using it haha. I have no idea why they replaced the Prophets Bane with the PC on Truth though SMH

Pegasus is absolutely horrible
coliseum plays a lot like Orion but Orion had terrible spawns
plaza is absolutely horrible
get rid of fuel rod on regret
For me, The Rig is horrible but Coliseum and Regret are very good maps and they should stay.
I agree with that - there are too many Plasma Casters. This weapon is placed on almost every map. Where is a Prophet’s Bane from beta…
Pegasus is definitely the best map in arena slayer matchmaking right now. Its caters very well to map control and the two minute respawns dont ruin it like most of the other maps. It has amazing lines of sights and control points. The only thing that should be adjusted is the snipe tower. It should be a little less defend-able to grenades and the little barricade removed. SMH to people saying its bad…
Regret is the worst map, mostly completely ruined by the fuel rod cannon. It should be replaced by a sniper or plasma caster imo.

Ok, Pegasus and Orion are definitely both trash and should go and Eden is definitely a cluttered Empire but…
Regret plays beautifully. Replacing the fuel rod with a more interesting power weapon is more than enough to fix the issue, not removing the entire map. Fathom plays fine. Simple maps are usually the best maps (take Pit from H3 for example).
Meanwhile you praise Orion which is probably the worst map in the game by a mile. Claustrophic, too many power weapons, terrible spawns, boring hallway stalemates. Plaza is a large map that revolves around the team’s piling up in garden making the rest of it useless. Rig is average I guess. Not a particularly amazing map in any way but not bad enough to remove.
