I have pre-ordered Halo Wars 2 and have downloaded Halo Wars Definitive edition as my preorder bonus. I found out today that I also get a digital preorder bonus for Halo 5. I downloaded it from the store. It’s supposed to be 5 gold req packs for Halo 5. But they are nowhere to be seen when I log into the game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the digital preorder bonus within my Halo 5 game data on the Xbox One and also reset my console multiple times but still I don’t have the packs.
Am I supposed to get the packs straight away or must I wait until I play Halo Wars 2 in February? It seems weird that I would have to wait for 5 packs when I can already download and play the other preorder bonus.
I got mine as soon as I pre-ordered it, so you’re right to be expecting it. Maybe you pre-ordered it too late? I not-so-long-ago downloaded Reach on the Xbox one and I got the “pre-order bonus armor.” I didn’t even pre-order it. I downloaded it, but nothing was there. Maybe you have the same predicament.

I did a full hard reset and also uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times. I’m looking for some official word as it doesn’t give a time limit in the description in the store for when it needed to be bought. I preordered it about 2-3 weeks ago and downloaded Halo Wars definitive edition last week.

Nope. The preorder description in the store tells you where to go to download the halo 5 preorder bonus for purchasing halo wars 2. I did it. I downloaded it. I installed it. I didn’t receive the items.
I preordered mine about two weeks ago. After maybe two to three days, I was sent a code, once I redeemed it, the five gold packs showed up.
Are you sure the code you were sent wasn’t for the digital download of Halo Wars Definitive Edition? I also received a code after about a week but it was only a code for the game not for the 5 gold packs.
