I’ve been on both sides of the 4v2 multiple times already and neither side is fun. To those who quit, please stop quitting. To 343, please add some kind of mercy rule so I don’t want to quit. Maybe end the match if one team drops 2 players in the first 3-5 minutes. I just don’t think people should be losing their hard earned rank every time their teammates leave the game early. Every time I was on the 4 it took forever to finish the match, and it felt like such a cheap victory because you know how the 2 on the other team feel.
I could care less about my rank i can always make that back. ( gone from gold 1 to 3 back down to 1 and just made it to platinum) anyways its your KD/KDA that gets yoinked! Being forced to go 6-20 is NOT fun at all

For that reason too. Many players out there work hard for their stats and it sucks to see them damaged unfairly. If it continues to happen as often as it is now, stats aren’t really going to mean much. Nearly half of the arena games I played last night were mismatched. I’d like to fill a Fireteam so this happens less often, but most of my friends are still chasing the Dragon that is Destiny…those poor souls

Ehh Im not play another game where I’m going 6-0 then my team feeds and loses the game for us back to ffa and warzone I guess they need a surrender option to stop wasting peoples time.
My very first match of team arena last night, my entire team left. It was 1 vs 4. I got obliterated. Killed 12 people died 29 times. I refuse to sit in a corner and hide, and I refuse to quit. So I just ran out and did the best I could. I don’t care about my KD but it is still unpleasant 1 vs 4. Makes for a very long game. Hopefully the quit ban starts going into full effect this week.

They need to implement a system that doesn’t penalize the mismatched team as much like losing the same amount of CSR and it effecting your ratio.

Nice. I am very patient so it is not too big of a deal. I also know after Friday a lot of these quitters will move onto the next game (COD). Over the next week the quitters should dramatically reduce between the new game and the quit ban taking effect.

If you’re serious about your Rank why not get a full team rather than relying on Randoms? You can never rely on random players for anything and unless you’re an absolute tank you won’t get a high rank in team modes playing solo.

That’s really the point, I am not that serious at all about my rank. I am a very casual player so I don’t mind losing or having a bad KD. I just don’t want to be in a 1 vs 4 game. I am sure once I get my 10 games out of the way for my rank (probably bronze) then it should get better. Same thing happened in the beta. Then once I acquired a rank, it was usually much better. Less quitters.

This. I generally play solo or with one friend. If the rest of our team leaves, we will be in trouble, but we’ll fight to the end because we are a team - or I will if I am solo because I am no quitter - but I understand my KD will be dire.

Yes exactly. I don’t like to be in a 4 vs 1 game and I do not like to be in a 1 vs 4 game. If I am in a 4 vs 1 game, I will even let that 1 person kill me just so its not such a miserable experience for them. Regardless it ends up being a long game for everyone. Even if the 1 player feeds kills it still takes around 7-8 minutes to finish the round. Believe me I have even purposely tried to die in the beta when I was the only person left on my team to speed up the time, and it doesn’t speed the time up at all. Still takes about 7-8 minutes. Usually the round will time out before you can die enough to end the round.

Excuse me? One of my accounts is diamond across the board, and accomplished completely solo. However the quitting is a complete horror, but not everyone can make a full team every time. Either stricken up the ban, that honestly I do not think works at all considering on one of my accounts I have quit quite a few games of Free-For-All on, or find a new way to add players.
One solution would be to implement a surrender function. Let’s say if 2 players of one team leave the game you can surrender and if both players left surrender then the other team wins. If you are alone you surrender and you lose, the other team wins. If you surrender there is no penalty for anyone except the players that quit / disconnected in the first place.
The reason why this option should only be available after 2 teammates left:
- A 3 vs 4 match is still pretty winnable and wont result in an all too low K/D.
- If the surrender option would be available from start, some teams might just surrender after the score is 5-10.

Yes the forfeit option has been mentioned quite a bit lately and I think it is an excellent idea. It works VERY well in Smite. If 90-95% of the team vote to forfeit, the game ends. Great idea for sure. Though I think over another week or so between people leaving the game for other games, and between the ban hammer, it should get a lot better.
As I posted in another thread last night, this has to be one of the worse multiplayer decisions I’ve seen anyone make. But this is what happens when MLG is your design and no one is asking questions from an outsider standpoint. In MLG you are supposed to be able to overcome those odds and “be clutch.” Mehhhh

I like this idea! However if it happens in the middle of the game, the winning team should still get rewarded for the victory since it wasn’t their fault the other team quit. Maybe not as much as a full game victory, but still something so it doesn’t feel like you got ripped off.
