I’ve not been following information as of late, if there even is any. But is there any word on if the “4k patch” will improve graphics on One S at all? I know it wouldn’t be 4k, but any improvement at all?
Also, is HDR being added?

I think no but I dont know for sure.
There’s no way they are going to give up specifics like that yet. I just skimmed all the community updates from the time they announced, back in July, until now, and this is all I found:

So definitely items outside of 4K support like bug fixes and a weapons update that we know of for sure, but that’s about it. Unless there has been something said on the other social platforms this is all there is.
I hate how 343 are acting like this is a big deal . Cmon people see it for what it is . A bug fix for problems with the game which should of been fixed long ago or at least incrementally as they arise, which haven’t been dealt with or it appears 343 don’t have the skill to fix ( cough cough mcc broken forever )
backwards compatibility - this is crazy that the flagship titles of Xbox haven’t been BC before . And let’s face it there will be a short spike of players playing older titles then they will go back to newer games … so again not a major offering. And a 4k update , most people don’t have that tech to benefit from this yet sooooo … I say again cmon why are people concerned with this . 343 have been clearly working on the next halo title all this conjecture is totally bull . They have your money given us a inferior product and now moved on so they can do it again but in the mean time look how much better graphically you can play a rubbish campaign and glitchy multiplayer. Why are you bashing 343 so much?cause you obviously really enjoy playing H5,I mean you’re SR 148
Odds are the Xbox One OG/S will contain whatever the patch delivers sans the 4K touchups that are reserved for the X. Unless there’s any optimizations or changes that give the OG/S more to work with, then I wouldn’t expect much.

Xbox One S is highly capable of HDR.
I don’t see them adding anything to help the graphics for the S or original Xbox one but there really is no telling what else will come with the 4k update. I have a feeling it will mostly just be bug fixes and those weapon balance changes and that is about it.
