Did you try Silver? They do show up in there too.
I got the Wasp Commendation on a Silver pack. The Wasp is a Bluecard. So you will better luck with them in Silver packs

This might be 343s way of limiting the theoretical early wasp swarm ive seen people worried about.

Since this post, i’ve only opened silver packs, I have not found a single wasp, while i found 6 banshees, and 5 sword banshees, gold or silver, they’re still way too rare for how weak they are
I’ve been trying to get the H2 BR since February. I did all my lower certifications with silvers. I’ve spent a few million points. Unbelievable.
Well, look on the bright side.

gold Packs are more likely to give out stuff you don’t have. I got it on a gold in my 4-5 pack after the update. Everything else just gave me mantises, gauss tanks, temple banshee & ghost, nornfang, gauss turrets, a hell bunch of f-ing brs I wont realy use, blueteam & aurum skins, etc. Bunch of stuff I didn’t had and will rarely ever use.

im on 31 golds opened 11 banshees 1 wasp. i feel like im even more -Yoink!- over
One solution is to add more variants, such as: woodland, tundra, urban, oni, & hannibal.

Same thing here my man…200k spend 1 single wasp. No oni tank, Hannibal anything or pheton either… I feel robbed from most of my Req packs
Yes that is what im hearing for a rare its more rare then a legendary. I think they should make it appear more but they should also raise the req level of it possibly to lvl 4. Ive been farmed by them when the opposing team got to 3 and i was still stuck with a pistol which is whatever but thats not even my reasoning. A few games ago my team was getting wrecked and we were defending the core and the other team had high reqs and we had low reqs. I was able to get a 21 kill streak with one by simple hitting there spawns. A level 3 shouldnt have that capability but possibly a 4 is justifiable. Its funny because i have over 70 phaetons total but have only 3 of the wasps.
Conclusion: Make it more common if its actually a rare but raise it to lvl 4 req. Just imo
I tried the Silver Pack route, and I can vouch that it does indeed net you more Wasps than just going Gold. I opened ~26 silver pack (so, about 52,000 rp since I have everything already), and I received around 7 Wasps (one pack even had two in it).
Definitely go Silver if you want more Wasps.
